Why this kit?…
No. 03: SWEET LORD THIS SECTION IS LONG. The main reasons for why I want this kit is because of design, lore, and clan. First off, I absolutely LOVE Tentaclekit’s design. The colors, spots, and fur style intrigues me a lot (this will come back later in the application). Not only that, his design reminds me of a certain cat pattern called a ghost tabby which I also really like. I’m also a huge fan of octopuses. Some of my favorites include the Dumbo Octopus, Mimic Octopus, and the Blue-Ringed octopus (which is the one that he is based off of!) Now let’s move on to some lore and story. I honestly see a lot of lore potential with this guy. With my last character, he did get some interesting stories indeed, but with Tentacle I want to sort of be more out there and have more depth to him if that makes sense? Unrelated, but my favorite constellation probably has to be either scorpious or cancer. I want to kind of experiment with his story and see how it turns out. I don’t want to plan too much, but I still kind of want to have a good writing base for him. Last but not least, his clan! Urchinclan is honestly my favorite group in Generations even though my first character was born in Flurryclan (sorry gang, please forgive me.) I’m a massive sucker for evil clans and Dark Forest loving cats, so this just fueled me even more to apply for Tentacle.

No. 04: It tends to range a lot to a 7/10 to a 9/10, but I’d say I’m pretty active, unless I take a hiatus which I rarely do.

No. 05: Yes, I have! That being Dragonflyswarm of Flurryclan I’m sure neither you or me want to see all of his 2019 gacha life backstory or whatever, so here’s a sentence about him. Dragonflyswarm was a warrior who lived to be 36 moons and passed away from a death roll which was to join Urchinclan (ironic I know).

Personality…
No. 06: For personalities, I tend to merge the simplified and detailed together just so you know.
Positives:
1. Creative - He tends to think outside of the box a lot which leads him to come up with a variety of ideas that are both good and bad. Usually its the first. He likes to even get other opinion and try to mix them in with his views. This leads him to come up with more unexpected surprises while still sticking to his script in the process.
2. Eloquent - Tentacle is extremely persuasive and can easily get others to follow his opinion. Not that he is against new ideas, in fact he loves it when other cats voice their views and he actually likes to use them so he can grow new beliefs himself. However, he still wants others to give his views a chance and to follow them along as well. He really likes to demonstrate this part of himself to bigger groups. As he wants everyone and himself to be able to express themselves and he can move even more cats. Who doesn’t love an audience?
3. Forgiving - Tenaclekit tends to easily take pity on others, however he isn’t naive. He is willing to shame cats for their actions, but he tries to also see himself in their shoes (or paws I guess) to get a better understanding of them. Everyone deserves a second chance… if they are worthy of it…Plus, he sees his forgiveness as a way to “make up” for his own tendency to take advantage of others.
Neutrals:
4. Ambitious - Tena tends to set a lot of goals for himself and he wants to mainly be remembered greatly. Famous if you want to put it that way. So he tends to try and bring his bizarre ideas to life. He also wants cats to respect him deeply and he believes that by gaining power or achieving something great, it will not only make him known. But it will even give him more power and success. He doesn't necessarily want to be a high rank for now at least, though if given the opportunity, he certainly wouldn't turn it down. Since it's what he is looking for.
5. Charming - This guy loves to seem likable and will usually try to please you so he can win your favor. He uses this to build supporters as well and likes to have other cats enjoy his company. However, sometimes he'll use his wits and charms to control you in the process.
6. Resolute - Based on what I've said before, Tentacle always stays with his beliefs which he thinks are usually correct. It's very hard to persuade him to change his motives, in fact, he'll actually try to change yours instead. But he's fine with you not completely agreeing with him as long as you still stay on the same path as him, just stray only a little. When making choices, he is pretty confident in himself and is determined to see it succeed. He trusts he'll make the right decision.
Negatives:
7. Judgmental - Even though Ten does look at other motives, he'll usually jump to conclusions after skimming through their views and actions. He's not afraid to dislike others and show it. He'll actually make it a bit obvious and he will even try to make you feel that you feel awful for not “living up to his standards” or completely disagreeing with him. He's willing to go off the rails just so you can give in.
8. Stubborn - Tentaclekit refuses to change his ways, like I've said before, he's fine with new fresh thinking, but he also still wants you to follow his rules while doing so. He hates straying away from his thoughts and opinions since he personally believes that he is almost always in the right and some cats are just too dense to see it.
9. Manipulative - Now for the last trait, Tacs is very controlling and will try to put you in a bad light. He will easily throw you under the bus just so he can keep his interests or have you out of the way. He also tries to make others feel bad when they think they are in the right and he'll stop your mind hard. He genuinely despises when others try to break his egotistical behavior and will try to look innocent in the process while crushing you as well.

Gender…
No. 07: For his identity, I kind of want to develop that as Tentaclekit grows and see what suits him best. Though he will most likely become genderfluid and will mainly use he/fae, but does use other pronouns such as she/her, they/them, etc. He will start to question his gender in his late kithood, but will actually start trying to figure it out once he is an early apprentice. He will know his identity once he is a warrior.

Future attraction/orientation…
No. 08: Tentacle will become pansexual and unlike his gender, he actually finds out much earlier. There is also a chance that he will become polyamorus. However, I do want to devolop him first before he actually figures himself out.

Before we start I just want to clarify something. I will be researching vestigial tails in humans, not cats. There is no case from what I've seen of a cat having a vestigial tail, cats can have two tails which isa condition called Polycaudal. However Tentaclekit's research is Vestigial tail, not the latter, so I will be researching that. Let me know if you wish to have Polycaudul research included as well.

Though what is a vestigial tail exactly? A vestigial tail is when a person is born with tissue sticking out of their lower back area which makes it look like they have a tail. There are two types of these. The first one being a true vestigial tail where it can move. It also has nerves and blood vessels as well just like any other body part as well as fat and has connective tissue. Pseudo tails on the other hand are a lot different. It actually is either a bump on the baby's back called spina bidifa. Which is when the spine or spinal cord doesn't form properly. Or it can even just be tumors near the baby's tailbone such as lipoma, teratoma, and even a parasitic fetus. The only similarities about the tails is that both true vestigial tails and pseudo tails don't have bone or cartilage.The exact cause is unknown, but some causes that aren't as direct is when something happens when the fetus' spine is still forming which makes the vestigial tail happen.

But it can also be that the tail wasn't absorbed into the body during development.
The next part will be discussing the true vestigial tails from now on, since that is what Tentaclekit has. Though it does not cause a lot of pain or discomfort since it has no bone. Though of course that doesn't mean it's harmless even if it doesn't cause too much. When sitting down, for example, a person's vestigial tail can cause a bit of a hard time or at least might not feel great, especially if the tail is longer. One can even get issues with the spine and tailbone. So, how will this affect Tentaclekit? He will have a little bit of issues with sitting, so most of the time Tentacle will choose to stand up or lean against something if he wants to rest without sitting down. Though it usually doesn't cause him extreme pain if he does not do that, he only does if it is slightly or just puts him in an uncomfortable position. He will also experience some lower back pain occasionally and will go to the medic den for checkups if he feels any of that. But in general, it won't affect his life drastically or cause him too much harm.
