Deep will be a somewhat good father. He'll push his kits to do things he wishes he himself were able to do, and will push the kits away if he feels like they're becoming too dependent on him.

He speaks with an AAVE accent, and it would be likely for the kits to pick this up, too, but they obviously don't have to.

♡ BELIEFS ♡
Deep will let his kits believe in whatever, but he will warn them to always say they're rigid followers of the Dark Forest. He wants them to feel connected to their family members that are passed, whether that's through dreamvisits or listening to Debbie tell them stories. Additionally, he doesn't care if they fall in love with a cat from another Clan. He might be hostile in the beginning, if the cat is a FlurryClanner, solely because of his bad experiences with them and views on their Clan, but he could warm up to said cat if he believed they really did love his kit.
As far as doing things that break the law of the Clan, well, he doesn't care if they don't get caught and if they don't cause him too much more work in the medic den.
If they move to FlurryClan I'm sorry they're like dead to him he loathes that place.

001 … mirthkit

“the oldest. i expect you'll be leading them all just like i did, hm?”

Mirthkit will be pressured to train a lot as an apprentice, even as a kit, because Debbie can't stand the thought of his kits being viewed as weak. He will play countless games with Mirthkit, weaving in training as he does so so Mirthkit can get ahead of the game. Deep will expect Mirthkit to stay well away from the arena until it's safe to fight in there, and will expect Mirthkit to take their place in the Clan's history. Despite all of these crushing expectations, he also wants Mirthkit to take after their namesake, Mirth, and to lead a happy life, as long as it somewhat fits the image he has painted for his kit. he expects, above all for Mirthkit to protect their siblings and be the perfect warrior of the family.

002 … maudlinkit

“you look like you've got the face of a diplomat. better use that charm before it wears off, young one.”

Maudlinkit will be taught how to fit seamlessly into society yet still hold themselves above the average cat by Deepmaelstrom himself. He's always taken himself quite seriously, and has only considered a select few cats actually worthy of his company, so he will teach Maudlinkit who are good friends to keep and who they should separate themselves from. Maudlin will be expected to get along with their siblings and cozy up to all figures of power and the inner circle of such cats, and maybe even integrate into such a circle. They are not expected nor required to like these “figures of power,” but to be civil and keep up appearances.

003 … sentimentkit

“learning to blend into the crowd and becoming friends with the shadows will prove useful to you.”

Sentimentkit will be taught how to not be caught and how to get out of sticky situations if they do. Deep wishes he learned how to be more stealthy so he could have gotten away with more, so he's passing on that hope to Sentiment. If they don't like their siblings or don't want to spend time with their family, Deep will be okay with this, as opposed to how he would act if another one of his kits tried to get away with that. Deep won't seek out Sentimentkit as much as the others, believing that if they need something they would find him.

004 … serenitykit

“sometimes a voice cuts deeper than claws. remember to sharpen your words.”

Serenity will be taught how to speak with the right amount of charm, attitude and sass. While teaching them to speak up for themselves is a goal of his, Deep will be more focused on making sure Serenity has a steel trap for a mind, able to hold history and stories longer than any other cat. To do this, he will have them recite long monologues and stories, to test their memory. Deep will be extra quick to correct Serenity, to make sure they remember nothing incorrectly. He will also be eager to tell them many stories, as many as they want, and Deep may quiz them about the tale later.

005 … luminarykit

“the precedent you set will influence our whole family, i hope you're aware.”

Luminary will be expected to be an all-rounder. Deep will expect them to train in every aspect, fighting, stealth, memory, and diplomacy, to show everyone who comes after what perfection looks like. Additionally, he expects them to unite the family and be the keystone to their lineage. Despite all the expectations, Deep will not be spending the most time with this child. He believes they should also be independent, so he tries to only meddle in their life occasionally.
