Question Mark Bug won't leave my unshared project I haven't touched in weeks.

No idea if anybody before me has pointed this out (and if so, sorry for repeating)

A project that I've been working on for a while has unfortunately suffered the “? sprite” bug (and I may or may not have accidentally hit save once or twice), I decided to save the project onto my computer in order to not ruin it further. The next day comes and (surprise surprise) the project got ruined by more “? sprites”. That's when I decided to import the project I saved onto my computer. And to my surprise, all of the assets that were hit with the “? sprite” bug suddenly got restored.

TLDR: Exporting your project and importing it again may actually restore lost sprites.
(Again this is my hypothesis based on my experience, plus I may get things totally wrong, you're free to correct me)

In my game it's like the first one or two sprites. But i have it to.

Had to replace some costumes

I'm dealing with the same issue and first thought I unfortunately had to replace a couple. Later on I realize this is not normal. I will not touch my costumes until this issue is resolved, because it could potentially be a permanent corruption. Check if your shared projects have that too, cause you probably still want those projects.

Update: In my project, it seems that some of the costumes have been restored. But a few are still corrupted.

I have been having this happen to multiple of my shared and unshared projects. I just luckily have copies of the Scratch project saved elsewhere but I wonder how many others have Scratch Project that are permanatly damaged by the question mark. As many it doesn't go away after reloading and some may accidently save it.

Ok, an update on my situation, the one project I previously mentioned on Post 31 has been fixed. Although it suffered a malfunction, it should be back up and running. I don’t know how many more are corrupted, but I’ll keep in contact.

my game has also sadly been affected too! a very large portion of my project has been replaced with question marks

the “my stuff” menu says the game has not been edited since november, i have no idea why its like this

Unfortunatley some of the shared projects still have the bug… whatever you do, DO NOT touch it. FOREVER

they resolved on their own. i logged off then logged on a couple hours later, and the game was working perfectly fine again

it looks like the costume of the 3rd sprite (“ほね”) and 4th sprite (“ゲームオーバー”) are missing

what did these two costumes look like before they got replaced by question marks?

it happened to my project as well, and i can't seem to get them back to the way they are, but it's way too many sprites (and sounds) that got corrupted for me to want to fix them all. this actually happened to me before, except that it was a thumbnail being deleted a couple years ago
