Hi Scratch Team!

I have a suggestion to improve how Studios work. Currently, it is very difficult for managers to share important news because comments get buried quickly and many users don't check the description often.

The Proposal:
I suggest adding a dedicated “Announcements” section or tab within Studios.

How it would work:

Only the Studio Host and Managers would have permission to post in this section.

It would be used for important updates, such as contest results, new rules, or featured projects.

(Optional) Followers of the studio could receive a notification when a new announcement is posted.

Why this is useful:
This would help keep the community organized. Instead of important information getting lost in the general comments, users would have a clear place to find official news. It would also reduce spam in the comments section, as managers wouldn't need to “pin” or repeat messages constantly.

Semi-support. I really like the idea, as it would be very useful. But can't you just write the announcement in the Studio description?

But again, only owners can edit description, It's not 2020 anymore…

Yes, but not everyone notices every time they enter the description; besides, part of the idea is that you receive a message like when someone mentions you.

this sounds like an amazing idea! maybe they could include this in the “next generation platform” update they're doing this summer
