To prevent ban evasion
I recently came across an annoying glitch where sometimes, the search bar will be stretched out, making you unable to access messages, My Stuff, and drop down menu for your profile. It was annoying, but it gave me an idea.
What if, when someone's account is blocked, the search bar will be stretched out so you can't access the drop down menu? That way, people can't just log out and use an alt/make a new account. It would also prevent spam.
What do you guys think?
Hello. My name is Billnana. As of right now, I am in need of all your Miis, from your Wii, Switch, Tomodatchi Life, or anything. Please sacrifice your Miis to me, the great Billnana. Thank you.

Isn't it just easier to ban one's IP entirely? Plus, the search bar isn't going to stay stretched if they log out (they can log out by clearing cache/cookies even if there's no dropdown), and then they can just make an alt.

To answer the second part: That is one problem with this suggestion…dang.

Also, what if it is a shared device, like a school device? If someone doesn't know how to clear cache/cookies, they can't log out of someone else's account and into their own.Isn't it just easier to ban one's IP entirely? I don't think it's a good idea to trap people in their accounts. That's what IP bans are for.
