Project Review System

I really think this is something that would go under the “list of rejected suggestions” but I can't find anything relating to it, so I'm making this.

The PROJECT REVIEW SYSTEM!!!
It's a work-around for people who want to make extensive reviews of a project but can't fit it in a comment or a shoddy remix. Here's how it would work:
- There would be a button on the project's page (that only shows when it's published and if YOU aren't the creator of it) that would allow other users to review your projects.

No, I don't mean it as in “1 star to 5 star reviews,” pretty sure THAT'S rejected.
I'm talking about you get to WRITE a review for the project's creator that allows you to be more honest with how good or bad the project is, and how improvements can be made.

“What's the point of doing this when we have comments and remixes?”
Comments have a strict 500-character limit so you have to make your comment in a thread in order to get your message out. Not only is that pretty unorganized, but some projects may be really broken, so you'll need a lot of comments to do it.
Okay. So what about remixing? How are you supposed to explain what the creator did wrong? With remixes, you can directly share the code improvements or audiovisual improvements. Still, there's no way of TELLING them except if you add a super brief summary in the instructions or notes tab of your project (which also has a pretty strict character limit too, even AFTER Scratch updated it for 3.0). You really expect most of Scratch's low-attention-span population to be able to enter a project and thuroughly examine every single block in their game and observe for differences? Yeah, people don't really do that anymore.

The review system is a nice compromise of this: it would allow people to make an in-depth explanation of their project's flaws and allow them to share demonstrations for how to improve it too.
The reviews would have the same system of text input as the forums, so you can put text formatting, images, and even code examples, which would prove to be really useful, probably.
There could also be slightly different moderation in the review system, so that you can still get away with saying “Your project is bad” if you still provided reasons for why it could be bad. You still can't just input copypastas or really short troll reviews.

Now, THE FLAWS!
This won't stop trolls, yes, because those are just inevitable. Of course, trolls are just going to bully young Scratchers or generic platform makers out of existence, but of course, this is just an alternative solution to more proper project reviews, which should be able to stop a few trolls.
People could still use comments or remixes to demonstrate, but I was thinking maybe use them alongside instead. So people can just review a project saying, “Your project is bad because it has a ton of extra code that will add unnecessary space to your game, which will make performance really bad. I remixed your project to allow you to see these better.”

I wish I could share an example of what it looks like, but imgur and filegarden are banned and bad image url's respectfully … so I will just keep it text for now.
Is this a good idea?

It gets a bit annoying to read 5 disconnected replies
Spammers seem like the biggest problem here
But to make sure, the reviews are completely public right?

I don't know to be honest. Public reviews could lead to a lot of spammers and advertisers while private reviews may make same-topic reviews far more common.
I'd say private reviews is better.

If it’s private review, that’s prob going to be rejected since it can allow for private chat

“Private chat” No, it won't allow for that.
Project reviews would be a one-message thing. You can't reply to it or engage in proper discussion with the review, just the single message and that's it.
Similar to how Scratch handles your messages when you get a report. Is there a message to immediately appeal your report right then and there? No. It'd be kind of like that: you'd still be able to send them, you'd still be able to read them, but you won't be able to engage with the user further unless you comment about the review to them, which would be public, so I wouldn't really consider this private chat at all

I already said that trollers will still be there: it's inevitable. This is just an alternate way to potentially fight against trollers and let more nicer Scratchers be able to cooperate with game developers so their games are better.
