What will happen to scratch in California?

So for context, there’s a new law in California that goes into effect next year that requires every os to ask for a users age. It puts you into a group based on your age (under 13, 13 - 15, 16 - 17, and 18 and older) and applies restrictions, idk how it works exactly, but because scratch doesn’t have a listed age rating, I’m worried it will get blocked for people in California.

I think by OS, it means stuff like MacOS, WindowsOS, etc. I don't think its about specific websites

I’ve seen a few sources mention it might be able to affect browsers and/or websites

Did a few googles searches. According to google “Browsers must have a built-in, easy-to-use setting to tell all websites not to sell or share user data.” Scratch is not a browser.

It also says that your OS is supposed to send that data to websites so that adult sites won't let underage people in

Oh that’s not that bad (I checked and it doesn’t use Ai or face scans so it’s not as bad as a certain Lego ripoff game)

Won't that law start in January 2027?

So with that in mind, isn't that why this exist because of passing laws that are happening around the world.

Also I highly doubt this would affect Scratch

OS stands for operating system. Examples of an OS include Mac, Linux, and Windows. Scratch is not an OS, so I would assume that it wouldn't affect Scratch. (This is an assumption; I might be wrong.)
