my project wont save
i was working on my project in turbowarp, and when i went to save it on scratch it wouldnt save (it just infinitely says “saving project”) could it be because i have too many tabs open? or specifically too many scratch tabs? or is the project too big (it is a pretty big project)? or even my chrome not being updated properly?

There is a certain file size limit where Scratch won't be able to load it. Try closing out your other tabs tho if you have a lot of them open.

I know this is a dupe agh. ( I can't find the link :[ ) Just save it to your computer, and then load it later.

Technically there isn't an actual limit (but it will get slower if the file size is that big). I saw smth saying max limit for individual imports was either 5MB or 10MB. Try importing each individual sprite into Scratch. It'll take some time, but a 90.6MB .json file seems too big for Scratch to handle at once.

idk if can because theres a bunch of lists that would need to be recreated. im wondering if its just too ambitious for scratch and i should try moving to one of those similar sites i was seeing a while back or even have it be download only or something

by having it be download only i mean like youd have to download the file and import it into turbowarp to play (if that even works)

No, it won't delete your thread. It will just be moved from “Questions About Scratch” to “Bugs and Glitches” if a moderator decides to move it.Reported to be moved to Bugs and Glitches. Your post is more relevant there :]will this delete the current thread

I am in the same boat, my project is 100mb+ and the JSON is 1mb. However, Scratch doesn't have a strict limitation on the size of the project and it has a limit on the JSON which is 5mb. You could turn your project into a zip and then extract it to check the JSON size but what I personally think is that Scratch is currently having problems saving bigger projects.
