When you create a project, there's a default variable. You can rename it, delete it, or just leave it alone. However, lots of users leave it untouched, which bothers me. Therefore, I recommend renaming or deleting the variable, because I always do that. Because of the thousands of projects where the default variable doesn't have a use, I suggest to remove the default variable.

Why to remove the default variable

• Lots of users leave it untouched;
  
• There's a Make a Variable button in the block pallette.
  

Why to not remove the default variable

• Users who need a variable immediately won't like this change.
  

I feel like the pros outweigh the cons.

Also, this change won't affect existing projects.

I mean, if you're making a blank project, you shpuld expect a blank project. So if someone makes a big project and forgets about it, 283836486 hours down the drain due to the filesize limit, until they realise and regret what they did.

due to a spare variable? i think they'd have deleted it or repurposed it if the project was that big
