★ hi! i'm charlie (@Warriors-and-WoF), and i'll talk about myself in the next section.

★ hi again! I'm charlie, an artist, writer, student, and athlete! I'm really good at solitaire for no particular reason, but I like to play any type of card games. I play softball and swim competitively during the summers. I love to learn about science, specifically genetics! I also really like to read and to come up with story ideas, which is definitely part of why I love roleplaying as much as I do! I started roleplaying around the same time that the COVID quarantine started, so about 2020? I remember seeing a ton of large roleplays on scratch during that time and thinking that it would be so cool to be in those. fast-forward about 5-6 years, and here I am! I joined TSS in late october of 2024, with my first character, specterghoul! I've joined or attempted to join a few other roleplays since then, including generations and tfcrp. I've had six roleplay characters so far, and I would consider myself relatively experienced within the roleplaying and creative writing fields. on a scale of 1-10, I would say my activity on scratch is like a 6.5/10? I don't go on scratch during school hours and I occasionally take long trips, but never without prior warning. With scratch's new artificial intelligence policy, my love for this website is definitely dwindling. I'm planning to stay here for enough time so my next one or two roleplay characters to live full, complete lives, and nothing more. .. ☁ why do you want this kit?
★ At first, I just really liked serenekit's design and thought that there could be a lot of cool lore concepts surrounding this kit. After a bit more brainstorming, I realized that the main thing I look for in a character is similarities to myself. I thought about this a bit more, and came up with this concept for serenekit! I believe that I could give serenekit a good life and interesting plots.

★ (note: i'll be using he/him for serenekit in this application, as they are AMAB)
★ in the future, serenekit would most likely identify as non-binary, using primarily they/he/star/ae/he pronouns. this is, however, subject to change as my concepts and ideas change! it's just a general idea of what I imagine his future would look like. He would also identify as an omniromantic demisexual.

★ detailed:
. considerate: Serenekit genuinely cares about other cat's feelings. He tries to figure out what they're feeling, so he can help them and be who they need him to be at the time. He'll often ask cats what they are feeling, and normally opens conversations with a ‘how are you?’ or ‘how are you feeling?’ sometimes, he'll repeat the same questions a few times in the same conversation, if he feels the cat has shifted emotions.
. hardworking: Ren tries his hardest to be good at, well, everything. He'll spend hours focusing on one specific thing, until he perfects it. if he's the best at everything, he can't be ignored, he can't be forgotten, he can't be overshadowed. This could lead to him neglecting his relationships with other cats, especially if they don't want to focus on whatever he's focusing on.
. imaginative: Serene often imagines what could be happening, especially when the present is dull. he'll run through what has happened and try to see how it might have played out, or what could have happened. This can cause Ren to get stuck in his head sometimes, but normally he's pretty good at zoning back into whatever he tuned out.
. empathetic: Ren tries to make other cats at home, especially if they seem like they're feeling some negative emotions. he will be the rain to the fire, if it means saving the forest. Serene will lend a listening ear to anyone who needs it, and tries to reserve his judgement on cats who come to him for advice or to vent.
. cooperative: Serene will go along with what another cat suggests, even if he doesn't personally agree with what they want to do. He thinks it's better to keep the peace than to fight over small things, especially if they're irrelevant to his goals and don't matter in the long-term. He often finds himself going with his own opinion when making big decisions, but will take into account his friends and family's opinions in really big, important decisions. if choosing the wrong option comes with very high stakes, he will follow his heart. Ren doesn't try to stir up trouble, and if he disagrees with a cat, he will choose to simply stay quiet.
. helpful: Ren tries to help others, willingly volunteering for jobs and trying to help as many cats as he can. this might lead to him overworking himself, but I think he'd eventually realize he can't please everyone and he'd dial his volunteering back a bit. Being helpful makes him feel like he has a purpose, and makes him think that he's useful to the clan. Serene thinks that if he tries hard enough, he'll earn the respect of iceclan, and his father.
. deep-thinking: Serene tries to think below the surface, to try to figure out what is really going on. he's probably going to be alone for quite a bit of his childhood (based on his father's parenting style), so this might at first develop as a sort of ‘game’ to keep himself entertained. pick a cat, try to figure out why they're doing what they're doing. look below the surface, so you can never see your reflection staring back at you.
. organized: Ren cares about cleanliness, and finds it hard to concentrate when the area around him is messy or dirty. this is part of why he stays in iceclan territory most of the time, as iceclan is pretty clean and monotone. he tries to plan out what he will do in the day, and tries his hardest to stick to that schedule or routine. if his plan for the day gets interrupted, Ren won't complain, but he'll try to get back to what he was meant to be doing as fast as possible.

. quiet: Serenekit often says little, preferring to make his emotions known through actions instead of words. It’s not that he’s incapable of speaking, or that he wants to be ignored. He tries to be quieter so others can be listened to. Ren's not very eloquent, either, so when he does talk it often comes off as hesitant or uncertain. to prevent misunderstanding, he tries to avoid talking.
. alert: Serenekit hates to be in the dark about things. to avoid this, he often concentrates very hard on memorizing the details of his surroundings and what other cats are saying. because of this, he can definitely come off as intense or intimidating, but he means no harm. life is short, and when he's in starclan, he wants to have something to hold on to. so he tries to remember it all.
. patent: Ren will tolerate others for far longer than most cats. as said before, he is very attentive, especially when listening to cats. he might not realize when a cat goes off-topic or starts talking about something else, as he's focused elsewhere for the moment. He wants others to be comfortable around him, so he'll let other cats just yap to him or say nothing. they have time to say what they want to say, he's not going anywhere.
. ambitious: Serenekit does have a vision for the future, and he greatly wants to achieve that. bits and pieces of his dream would change as his character develops and he grows up, but it would mainly look like the clans being at peace, no more war on the sun, and Serene being respected by cats from all the clans. He tries hard to achieve this, by learning all the skills he can and talking to cats around him. this could make him overlook what is in the present, especially if he's close to his goal.
. wishful: Ren, again, has a lot of hopes for the future. part of this is that when he's bored, he'll imagine possible futures in his head. He often talks about his ideas to close friends, and enjoys engaging in discussion over what should, or could, happen. He thinks it's interesting to see what others think, and then compare it to his own idea. that way, if his dream comes true, he might be able to make other cat's dreams come true too.
. unaggressive: Serene is not one to instigate in situations, and often tries to do the opposite. if a cat close to him is going to make a decision that he thinks is wrong, Ren will confront them in private about it and try to figure out why they are making that decision. He will not pressure other cats, as he values the freedom to make your own choices above most other things.
. intelligent: Ren is smart, and tries to act like it, too. if he has an idea of what should happen, he will voice it, but not in a way that persuades other cats to follow his lead. he quietly shares his thoughts on the future and what should happen, but doesn't force anyone to listen to him. Serene tries to tune in to other cat's emotions, but cannot seem to do the same with his own. he neglects his feelings too much to be fully emotionally intelligent, but recognizes emotions in other cats pretty well and vaguely knows how to help others through times of need.
. disciplined: Serenekit follows the warrior code, and iceclan's laws, very strictly. he fears punishment, and wants to be someone that his family can take pride in. he doesn't want others to have to deny knowing him just so they can make a good impression. His following of the rules can lead to him neglecting what others want to or need to do for themselves.

. clingy: Serenekit is really bad at letting go. His loyalty, his tendency to stick by others, can definitely get smothering when all someone needs is space. he's bad at recognizing when other cats need space, and takes it badly when he's told to leave a cat alone. of course, he'll respect the cat's wishes, but Ren will beat himself up inside, wondering how he couldn't have seen the signs for what was bound to happen.
. hesitant: Serene focuses on the past a lot, and the future, but often neglects the present. He thinks and thinks and thinks about what he should do, finally makes a decision, and then finds out the opportunity has passed him by. he'll blame himself for this; after all, who else is there to blame? Ren wants to be impulsive, he wants to make quick, important, choices, but all too often can't bring himself to. the consequences are too great, the risk is too high, he can't stop himself from thinking. this may eventually change, as he learns to fear punishment less (possibly he has less to lose? idk depends on the future) and to trust his gut instinct.
. pessimistic: Serenekit has a tendency to take things for the worse. this can often be seen when he's left to his own thoughts, as he'll overthink his earlier actions and try to see what other cats think about him. This often leads to him spiraling, wondering if he could fix his past mistakes and blaming himself for all that went wrong, even if it's another cat's fault.
. self-critical: For a cat that cares so much about other cat's emotions and opinions, Serene often neglects his own feelings. If Ren makes a mistake, he'll think over the situation over and over again, trying to figure out exactly where he went wrong. if he finds the error, and corrects it, everything will be fine. it won't happen again. if the mistake was really had, he'll straight-up walk away from the cat that he made the mistake towards. Ren will apologize once, maybe twice, and then pretend it didn't happen.
. spiteful: Serenekit's not one to forget. he likes to tell himself he doesn't hold grudges, but he definitely does. He remembers what others have done, partially because he spends so much time watching, and if they did something he deems ‘bad’, he will hold a quiet bias against them. no, he'll never outright tell them that he thinks they're not nice, but he will try to avoid the cat and be quieter around them than he normally would be.
. perfectionist: Ren wants to be perfect. A perfect warrior, a perfect clanmate, a perfect brother, a perfect son. This desire for perfection is one of the main driving factors behind his actions. He does something wrong? He does it another hundred times until he's great at it. repeat a previous mistake? try to fix it a hundred times over, or forget about it. He just wants to be enough, to be recognized for his effort.
. unpredictable: how Serenekit acts is down to a game of chance. If he's never formed an opinion on a cat, he'll try to get to know them enough to know if he should be kind or if he should just be quiet. being completely silent is the closest thing to being mean Ren allows himself, as he doesn't know what impact his actions might have. if he's already formed an opinion on a cat, he'll act according to if he thought of them as nice or as someone to avoid. Every once and awhile, though, he'll act completely random, with the interaction changing based on Serene's emotions. this mostly happens because of Ren bottling up his more negative emotions, and his lack of a good outlet for these feelings.
. quick to judge: to put it clearly, one small action can change Serenekit's entire opinion on something or someone. if he initially thinks of a cat as nice, and then sees them making a rude comment, he'll immediately switch them over to the ‘to be avoided’. if he sees a cat he deemed ‘to be avoided’ doing a good action, or they apologize for their ‘bad’ action, and he's still a bit hesitant around them, but not as much anymore. If they keep fixing their mistakes? back into the ‘good’ section. He won't tell these judgements to other cats, and prefers to keep his opinions to himself, but if someone asks he will tell them.

★ Magnificentmuse - father - Serenekit definitely has a semi-negative view of his father, at least as an adult. at first, baby Ren just wants attention from Magnificentmuse. he'll try his hardest to get this, often trying to do ‘warrior’ stuff (ex. play-fighting, practicing crouching/pouncing, etc.) to prove that he can do it. Serenekit truly believes that if he tries his hardest, does his best, he will become his father's favorite and get all the attention he wants. as he grows older, and matures more, Serenekit sheds this mindset and tries to replace it with one of forgiveness. he understands how demanding warrior duties are, and makes up excuses in his head to cover all the times his father wasn't there. in the end, Serenekit (now Serenesuffix) tries to rekindle his relationship with his father and start anew. (note! this is just a overview of a possible dynamic! stuff is definitely subject to change and irp interactions and stuff. this is in no way final.)
★ Marvelouspaw - older sibling - I think that Serene would have a pretty positive relationship with Marv, talking to him often and having a normal sibling relationship with him. Ren might be a little jealous of Marvelous, as he feels that Marv has closer relationships with his other siblings than Serene will ever have, due to being littermates with the other four (three?). other than that, serene will hold no ill will toward marvelous and sees him as a normal sibling. (disclaimer! this is in no way final and is just one possible dynamic.)
★ Strikingkit - older sibling - leaving this one blank for now, as I'm not sure if they have a roleplayer?
★ Gloriouspaw - older sibling - Serene would definitely clash with Glorious a lot, seeing her as the most annoying and obnoxious of his older siblings. serene hates confrontation, though, so he'd keep his thoughts inside. He'd try to avoid her, even stopping other conversations if she comes near. He views her as childish, despite her being older than him. eventually, he might realize that you can't choose family, and start to try to be nicer to her and tolerate her more. (note. this is just one possible dynamic that's probably going to change!)
★ Impressivepaw - older sibling - ren would try his hardest to have a good relationship with impressivepaw. since impressive is pretty similar to their father, serene would probably find this relationship mirroring serene's relationship with magnificentmuse. ren tries to please impressive, bringing him gifts and doing favors for nothing in return. he'd talk to him quite often, talking about his opinions, which is something he normally wouldn't do around any cat. this relationship is, quite possible, one-sided, and there's definitely potential plot points here. (same disclaimer as the others! this is subject to change with irp interactions and the other roleplayer's wishes, this is just one potential dynamic idea!)
★ Fabulouskit - older sibling - fabulous would probably be serene's closest sibling. he's the closest to ren age-wise, so serene might feel like he has more of a connection to him than his other older siblings. Serene would talk to him often and always lend a listening ear, trying to be the best sibling possible. (this disclaimer again! this dynamic is subject to change, and is probably going to change in the future. it's just one possibility.)

.. ☁ kit's thoughts/opinions
★ iceclan: to Serenekit, Iceclan is home. he couldn't imagine living anywhere else. He'll take quite an interest in his clan's history, particularly Iceclan during the thin ice event and minkstar's reign. he'd try to find cats that can inform him about what life was like back then, but have bad luck in finding cats willing to talk. Serenekit takes pride in being an icecat, even if he looks a little different. After all, there's no changing what he is, so he might as well enjoy it. He's loyal enough to fight for his clan, but may internally question leadership decisions. if he thinks a decision is really, really bad, Ren will not speak up about it, at least in public. he may voice his concerns with close friends or family, despite possible punishments. he might eventually develop a mistrust of leaders, if the iceclan rebellion fails and magnificentmuse gets killed, exiled, or demoted.
★ warrior code: from a young age, Serenekit was taught to regard the warrior code as the highest law and final statement on all things moral. He would probably despise it. Ren follows the warrior code, mostly out of fear. He knows why it's in place, he knows why it has all the rules. it's stifling nonetheless. he might break it a few times, just to see what happens. generally, though, he prefers to stick to the warrior code.
★ afterlives: Serenekit is a devout starclan follower, often wishing he could consult with cats who have passed before making any important decisions. his beliefs are definitely part of why he fears the consequences of not following the warrior code, as he immensely fears any and all things related to the dark forest (including the dark). He would do anything to not go to the dark forest. Starclan, to him, represents the good in cats and the good in his history.
