Purple is my favorite color. You've heard me right. Even though we got SOME purple on pride day 2023, that didn't include custom blocks. And statistically, dark purple is generally better for your eyesight than bright pink because it is less likely to cause eye strain and visual fatigue.

It was probably hard for some people with colour-blindness to distinguish the difference between Looks and Custom blocks. I think that's why it was changed from purple to pink.

I like the pink ones. The Scratch 2 blocks were pretty ugly, I remember using it when I was in fifth grade. I think pink blocks is worth the reduced lag of Scratch 3…

To be more friendly with other block colors if you think about it.

I feel like Scratch 3.0s purpose was to look modern, colorful and easy to use for children. That's why the blocks are so light colored, kids like light colors.
