(school blocked scratch on our laptops so she can't check in during school hours sadly)

Cabin Color Ideas:

Cabin Ideas:
Main Idea - Astoria was once a peaceful land where all creatures could all get along, but recently things have been… different. Weird things have been happening all over. Strange vines have been growing wild in Dalerin (the gnome land), ogres have attacked a few human villages, goblins have been stealing, and dragons… we haven’t seen the dragons in months. Yes, it’s true. The usually friendly flying companions have made themselves scarce. The council of elders have called to court once or twice but the only councilors present were the human councilors, the faery councilors, and the elf councilors. The others never came.
We need you to help us figure out what is happening, why it’s happening, and who is up to this.

The campers will be chosen for the Everglow which is a band of heroes and adventurers whose task is to find out what is happening and put it to an end before all of Astoria is corrupt. Will they succeed?

Storyline Ideas -
- I was thinking this is like a hivemind sort of deal. There's this ancient evil dragon who awoke from millennium or two of slumber after being defeated by a hero. That dragon is using an ancient amulet or something to take control of the ogres, goblins, etc.

Activity Ideas -
- I was thinking that they could work split into WCGs for an activity or two and then they figure out the who, where, and how and they go back to being one big group and working on things in the main Adventure Cabin
Here's a rough and debatable activity timeline! (we can have more detailed discussions about the activities later. My brain just needs something readable lol):
- (individual work) Character Creation (won't be like D&D in the sense of dice rolling and stuff. actually… maybe we could incorporate something.)
- (all together) A report of an ogre attack on a nearby village. They fight off the ogres and the ogres drop some interesting dialogue.
- (split into wcgs) They decide to check out other villages like Dalerin (the gnome village) where vines are out of control, a village where goblins are stealing and causing chaos, and the fairy village where instead of being their usually helpful selves, they've all gone rogue.
- (all together) Journey to the Library of Wisdom to find out what is going on (I want to find a new name for that later xD)
- (WCGs) They split up to find out who is causing everything, how they are doing it, and where to find him. Once they do, they come back to the base to find out that their dragon companion goes missing, making things dire. (YES I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A LITTLE DRAGON ALT ACCOUNT OR SOMETHING FOR PART OF THE STORYLINE IF THAT'S OKAY <33)
- (all together) they set off towards the final destination,being given choices, curses, and writting prompts along the way!
- (all together) they fight big boss guy and get their dragon companion back

I'm Sage (she/her) and I live in arguably the bEST timezone ;D I'm an archer, reader, writer, and huge nerd. I typically stay pretty busy with archery, quiz bowl, band, and all my other extracurriculars, but when I have free time, I like to relax with a good book and a cup of hot chocolate. I play flute, kalimba, and piano, and I plan on learning saxophone and guitar. This is my fifth session of SWC and my second session leading a cabin, and I'm honored to be leading adventure with you guys. <33

hey im pepper! i stay pretty busy with school and sports, but in my free time i enjoy reading, writing, playing/listening to music (i play alto sax so that’s why im a bit biased as to what sage chooses to learn next :0), and playing sports! this will be my tenth swc session, and i’ve been on the leadership team since november 2023 as both a co and leader before. i’ve been in lots of different cabins in the past but never adventure so this is exciting <3

quick little things to add before i hope off for chores:

inactivity dates
- i will be on a highschool church retreat february 13-16 i believe, and im not sure how active i’ll be during that time but i assume we will not be allowed any electronics
- i tend to be busy on wednesdays and tuesdays, i have school then practice then an activity (soccer on tuesday, youth group on wednesday) but my practices have been cancelled this week and most likely next week so that’ll give me some extra time online
- my weekends can be busy occasionally with my brother’s basketball tournaments but i can still hop on quite a bit through my phone

Hi Sage and Pepper!

I'm Em, and I've interacted with sage quite a bit but not with Pepper! I live in PST (Pterodactyls + Singing Trains) And I'm looking forward to getting to know both of you even better this session <3. I play the violin and know how to play the piano and ukulele (somewhat badly xD). I really enjoy reading and crafting, and hanging out with my friends! This will be my 5th SWC session (twinsies sage :000) and I've never led before, so that's somewhat nerve-wracking <3.

okay so -

I've played roleplaying games in the past (not d&d, but dagger heart, which is somewhat similar) and in daggerheart, the adventures that people go on are called campaigns, so a basic name we could use/tweak to make more exciting and fun is “the campaign: swc adventure mar ‘26” but obviously that’s a little bit boring xD and that's all for now but I'll be back later/tomorrow with more ideas!

inactivity dates
in February, I'll be almost completely gone the 7 <3

my main inactivity dates during camp will be march 13-14, I'll be on a development for a leadership training camp I'm staffing over the summer. I'll leave the 13th around 5 pm my time and get back the 14th around 8 pm my time! so not too long, however it's a more significant time. I'll also be less active, but not completely inactive, march 16-18 because I have finals those days - however my course load is a little lighter this semester so I'm not too worried about studying and should still be able to check in a few times! if anything else comes up, I'll be sure to add it!

NEW TOPIC (Imma leave you two with this before I go snooze lol)
Activity ideas:
- Character Creation
- Some where in the activities, I would like them to split of into WCGs to find out what is causing this. To do this, they are sent to the Library of Wisdom (name up for debate) and they will do something (puzzles, writing exercises?, etc.) to each solve one part of the mystery. One WCGs will find out who is up to it, one will find out how, and the other will find out where. I'm thinking that their very first activity could be to enter the Library of Wisdom (name up for debate) where they (as a whole group all WCGs) will have to solve a riddle or three. AFTER they find the info in the library, they come back to the Everglow base and hear news that the curse or whatever it is has spread to the fairies, making situations more dire. Then they set off on their journey to fight the ancient dragon behind it all and face challenges (and activities along the way!). If the cabin is more inactive than I'm hoping for, then there will be less challenges to get to the main boss!
(I'm sorry if that didn't make sense. I need to organize my ideas lol)

activity-
the activity sounds really fun! i like the idea of having separate wcgs do things and then coming together to figure it all out.
in the past we’ve had each leader “man” a portion of the storyline, so in this case we can have each person be in charge of the activities for their group, like making them/releasing them/etc. obviously we all have to talk about what we’re doing so we’re on the same page but yeah lol

and yes i am being pinged! sorry for responding late, i’ve had a busy past couple of days and finals are coming up ^^ im going to our highschool’s play tonight because some of my friends have the main parts, but this weekend i’m free, and next week i should have a lot more free time also

are we going to make a canva for designing thumbs and stuff? and how would you guys feel about making a spreadsheet for us to add words and whatnot? i could probably make one i just need to search up how to keep my account private again

all of the relationships sound good to me! I don't really have an opinion on which cabins should be which, so as long as we have allies, enemies and neutrals, I'm good! I've saved the links to the designs onto my computer so I don't lose them and I'm looking forward working on the symbol/atmosphere! I'll come up with some symbols later, but I'm currently on a library computer and I'd rather do that on my personal computer xD.
