It's kinda funny to think that 8.1 was a totally supported OS up till just a few years ago…

Yeah, sure…
When I think about the worst Windows release, NT 3.1 comes to mind. It was slow, unstable, slow, incompatible with existing software, and most importantly, slow.

I've used Windows 8 before and was pretty satisfied with it. I always get a kick out of people claiming it made them switch to Linux; they successfully adapted to an entirely different operating system, yet apparently, the loss of the Start button was too much to bear.

I've thought about buying a tablet before, but I don't see the point. A 15" laptop is portable enough for any task I would attempt on a PC.

Yeah, and Windows 8 got the short end of the stick. It didn't even receive several updates that became available for Windows 7.

This includes Phone 8/8.1, right?

Unrelated, but Windows 8 Consumer Preview is kinda bad.
My browser / operating system: Windows 8, Firefox 115.0, No Flash version detected
But, Windows Aero looks cool.

I mean, technically yes for the desktop (but also on the right when you're in the Start screen or a Metro app)

Internet Explorer 11 on 8.1 as a metro app isn't that bad?
