So as far as I'm aware there are 3 statuses for users on the platform, being “New Scratcher”, “Scratcher”, and “Scratch Team”. I am a Scratch Member, and thought it would be cool to have my profile say “Scratch Member” instead of “Scratcher” for users who have Scratch Membership. I really want this feature!

I feel like Scratch Members already have enough distinction. They get cat ears, a badge, and literally a little block that says member right next to their username on the forum. I feel as though this change could count as another rank above Scratcher. You can already tell when someone is a member, so no support.

Also, if this does go through, there will be more separation and possibly more backlash against ST for this whole membership thing.

The cat ears and badge already give it away, simply saying “Scratch Member” would not really change much.

Edit: Although obviously members can be either Scratchers or New Scratchers, so I think it makes sense to say “Scratcher” or “New Scratcher” still to avoid confusion from New Scratcher members wondering why they can't use cloud data.

Or it could just be plain text right next to the member’s username on their profile that displays “Scratch member”.

I feel like this would be rejected under “a rank about Scratcher”, but membership itself is already kinda that…

I honestly find it kinda strange that they would just go back on their mind and consider unrejecting having badges added to profiles but I mean, it’s pretty much up to them on the decision making, more or less the dev team on the Scratch Team that is collaborating and working on the membership program, still, I don’t like the fact that they didn’t make any mention they were going to do this sooner before they implemented it, it’s a weird move on their part lol

Yeah I thought that rejection was a bit odd because I feel like it would clear up confusion if people found a post where a former Scratch Team member closed a topic or if they found comments/posts where they were called a Scratch Team member, I think it would be odd for ex Scratch Team members to brag and bully about it, and it doesn't give any extra perks so it's not really a higher rank.

honestly i think the cat ears and the Very Big badge is enough
