The most current version doesn't work (last time I checked). Try THIS version. It'll download automatically.

Compiling pretty much means taking the human-readable code, and turning it into machine code that can be read by Android devices. Right now, the easiest way to do it, is through Flash Builder. If you're unable to figure it out yourself, you'll have to wait until I can write a guide explaining it.

Hi elfin8er, I have got as far as cloning your Git repo, installing the Apache Flex SDK 4.14, downloading a 60-day trial of Flash Builder and setting it to use the Flex 4.14 SDK. Then I imported the project to see if I could build it in Flash Builder.

I'm seeing a whole bunch of red error flags in the source code (719 errors in total!). I'm guessing they can't be genuine errors or this wouldn't build, so I must still have something misconfigured or missing.

Can you offer any advice on how to bring this project into Flash Builder so that it will build? It looks like it's not parsing the source code correctly, with all these errors. Can you think of an obvious steps I may have missed? Thank you!

I'm still planning on updating this, and calling it probably won't have any special features for mobile devices, but it should work on Android, iOS, Windows Phone, etc. I also still want to try and optimize it for smaller screens, but we'll see.

This all looks really cool, I'm excited to see where it goes! :3

I like Andromeda too. It's also cool, because the first part, is “Andro” as in “Android”. It'd be cool if we could think of a meaning for “meda”. Mobile Environment for… something…
Friendly reminder that “andro-” is the greek prefix for man (androgyny, misandry, and yes android are derivatives). I like the name anyway tho xD

As promised, Andromeda 2.0 is still in the works. I'm taking a different route with 2.0 than I started with the original version. Andromeda 2.0 will be mainly focused around mobile devices as before, but it's going to be compatible with more than just Android. The advanced mobile features were just too hard to manage. I'm also hoping to get the mod on the Android Store, and on Cydia. There's a very slim possibility you may even see it on the iOS appstore, but we'll have to wait and see. I'm also debating whether or not I should have the project on Github since it's kind of hard to compile. But as before, if anyone would like to help optimize the UI for mobile devices, please please please let me know. This is the number one priority, but something I'm not sure how to do personally.

So my question for you guys, is what would you like to see on Andromeda? What's something that you think would make Scratch worthwhile on mobile devices? Thanks for all suggestions

EDIT: Come to think of it, Apple probably wouldn't even allow the app on the appstore. However, I'm still going to be experimenting ways to get the app to jailbroken (and possibly non-jailbroken) devices.

You could create a website similar to scratch so that you can upload your projects to there. It would be an application for use only by mobile devices so that your newly added blocks will be compatible. This is entirely optional since the application would be fine as a stand alone application. I think you should call it Blockgram.

This is pretty cool! Guess that solves the mystery of whether or not Scratch can run on Android

What about adding something like Bluetooth support?

This should work for iOS.

If nobody has a Mac, this should work:

Then you could use these methods to install it:

I can no longer edit(for some reason)
EDIT:If you don't have a Mac, use Hackintosh. That will work

BTW:I don't know how that New to Scratch thing works, but I use Scratch from the Scratch 2.0 beta time.
