Decide on a name

hiii! i like the idea of “mainstream scratch music industry” kind of a combination of two of them

hi! maybe ‘music of scratch?’ kinda basic tho lol

oooooh I like the combination!!! the only vice of it is its a little long, so it might not be as eye catching or sticky in people's heads (I just had a marketing test today so I'm still in that headspace rn)

wait i love music of scratch!! and yea i agree with that, we could probably abbreviate it when talking like “msmi” but i do think it should be something catchier

Music of Scratch is so much more ringy than like “Scratch Music” but has like the same encompassing feel yknowwww? lemme see if anything has the same name

Okay there are a bunch of small studios that have the name “Music of Scratch” but nothing with more than like 20 comments and 10 projects

I agree it's a bit long - looking through the suggestions on the project, my favorite is Scratch Music Industry, because it's simple and accurate while not being toooo basic.

Scratch Records could be cool but kind of makes the studio sound like a label, which it's not. I'm also not opposed to Scratch Music Hub or Music of Scratch (though that might be too broad? idk)

Mainstream Scratch Music Industry and Scratch Music Industry are both open! I like msmi as an abbreviation

There also aren't any existing scratch music industries, with the exception of one that's absolutely ancient and has literally nothing in it, so I think it's def a good option.

I'm going to change the studio name now and we can start looking for someone to make the thumbnail.

Let's move on to the next topic of discussion: the description

We need a good set of rules and to finalize the layout of the description. Ideas?

for the description, just looking off of the spop studio we could have these rules:
- no hate, discrimination, bulling to people of any race, gender, sexuality, ethnicity etc. this is an inclusive, loving community
- advertising is allowed as long as it's related to singers on scratch, music on scratch, music competitions
- we could have a form to apply as a curator and manager
- we could have question of the months (QOTM)
- we could also have a Monthly Feature where we link the song of a randomly chosen artist, idk?

and then obviously in the description, we should explain what this studio is for

I also think we should have a thumbnail contest… but could some other manager… maybe Waterfall, make that project? I think it would get more engagement that way; I don't have a big following yet.

hehe yes ofc anything for the clout xD - what specific guidelines for the thumb do you have, do you have any specific rules, and how will the winner be determined? (also just lmk anything else you want me to put in the project)

Desc stuff:
- great rules eva, but I agree with nova on using a project for manager apps because they might get buried.
- some to add: don't add unrelated projects, don't spam (includes both spam-adding projects and spam comments), don't spread gossip to minimize conflict, be appropriate, etc.
- I think we should also include guidelines about consequences, just like managers can remove any unrelated projects, and remove a curator if they break the rules x amount of times
- Curator forms: I agree, these are great, but I think we should make sure to only include necessary information, just which account they want invited, make them agree to the rules, codeword if we're doing that, and ig their involvement with the industry
- LOVE LOVE LOVEEEEE the idea of a new/underrated/whatever scratcher of the month, and maybe featuring one cool music project every week
- Maybe we could have a section for current events/comps that are open for more people to get engaged? and make a form for people to get their events/auds added for ~a week, maybe?
- A lot of studios have project ideas, not saying that's something we need but could be helpful, or a challenge of the month to make a certain project or follow a theme
- Also a credits section obvi <3
