I need your guys' help with something, I updated ChromeOS and now I can't spam a single letter anymore, a little box thing pops up when I hold down a key and it is quite annoying, sure it's cool being able to type random characters æ, but it's still quite annoying and I want to disable it.

My chromebook has been having this issue where if I move it the wrong way, it just completely stops working, and apparently, the glitches aren't only visual.

I kid you not when I closed the lid, the worst sound I had heard in a while erupted from this thing's speakers, this thing decided to recreate the dang virtual exorcist, it was as if Vinny from Vinesauce possessed my chromebook and activated his passive.

The sound didn't last for long though, as my fingers practically flew over to the power key and the refresh key to force shutdown the tthing once I realized it didn't stop when I closed the lid.

TL;DR: My chromebook made the worst sound I'd heard all year, and i'm actually scared of it now.

Edit: Even though I absolutely hate talking about personal experiences, I'm keeping this up because I find it funny, also, this is basically just a vent post, as I don't expect technical help from anybody about this, as I'm not sure anything can be done really.

Edit 2: I have a new chromebook without any of the issues as the old one, I also took a picture of the thing when I still had it, here is said picture (sorry for androd quality):

I just updated my chrome and it made deleting images hard to do and now I have like 50 useless images I saved that I can't delete
also our teacher lectured us on what we should and shouldn't do on school computers and we're not supposed to have images
they said we signed a contract and they didn't even tell us what it was for

hey so before I tell you this story, there are two people involved, the guy sitting next to me in my web design class will be called Shoe and the guy sitting next to Shoe will be called Glue

so Glue installed a custom made python program on Shoe's computer that whenever CTRL+F is pressed it starts playing fart sounds repeatedly and prevents the volume from lowering and now is activating the program every chance he gets

highlight and press shift+down to see the whole signature (not sure why everyone says “ctrl+shift+down” when ctrl isn't needed)

IMPORTANT:

I don't remember exactly, but yeah, pretty close to that.

Edit: I have a picture of one of the graphical glitches, the picture quality is pretty bad though as it was taken late at night and I didn't have my phone at the time.

The extensions on my school’s computers also don’t even have a whitelist for their blocking of search filters or results. I tried looking something up, and it got blacklisted because a part of it was an inappropriate term.
