regards on @S(removed by moderator - please don't name names) ban
The project “Milli and Zepto” from the user @(removed by moderator - please don't name names) has been removed, as well as the user being banned. I personally think this goes against Scratch's remix ideology, where any project can be created with inspiration from another user. This would seem to be the case in this particular scenario, seeing as the Scratch mascots are allowed to be used freely in user's projects.
So why, then, was this seemingly innocuous project (consisting only of the two mascot sprites) removed from the Scratch website?
These sprites were part of the Scratch Membership, which included several sprites for members to use in their projects. Milli and Zepto were part of this paid membership, which is bad enough, but when the SCRATCH TEAM THEMSELVES bans a user for simply posting the paid sprites, it starts to give them a bad light.
This should not be the light that the Scratch Team wants.
I understand the need to pay for your service, and I would help if I could, but this seems more in character of a large corporation than a small open-source project for educational use. I think @(removed by moderator - please don't name names)was defeating the purpose, since the paywall of these sprites incentivises the membership, however the Scratch Team needs to be a little less harsh. I don't know the exact meaning of this ban, but it doesn't look good.
If any Scratch Team members have anything to say about this, please do.

This goes against what they said. ‘'Early access’' is a lie.

I know that topics like these aren’t allowed…
But I need to know more. Like why was the project removed? Possibly mass reported? Thats unlikely though. And that would be weird if the ST removed it for having the sprites when they intended the sprites to be for early access and allow others to backpack them.

I know that topics like these aren’t allowed…Yeah, this is hypocritical. And a Scratch Team member even said it was ‘'Early access’'

Like SOMETHING MASSIVE had to happen to warrant a ban like this is insane how did this happenI know that topics like these aren’t allowed…Yeah, this is hypocritical. And a Scratch Team member even said it was ‘'Early access’'

I highly doubt that mass reporting was the reason Because if I remember the views of those sprites were somewhere at the hundred, but who knows
However I found a project that has the October sprites and nobody can stop me

They were following name-snipes like ‘'Leaks,’' ‘'Membership,’' and ‘'Member.’' They posted two projects one titled ‘'Yooka-Replaylee Sprites’' and ‘'Zepto & Milli’' so nothing they were doing was wrong, the only way I could see why they're banned is the What I'm Working On said ‘'Stealing from the rich and giving to the poor.’' Which isn't incriminating evidence to warrant a ban.Like SOMETHING MASSIVE had to happen to warrant a ban like this is insane how did this happenI know that topics like these aren’t allowed…Yeah, this is hypocritical. Thats enough evidence to probably warrant a warning and What I’m Working On deletion, not an entire account deletion. I think it's because of the sprites, because what other way would they get banned?Thats enough evidence to probably warrant a warning and What I’m Working On deletion, not an entire account deletion. Keep in mind that we don't know the reason that someone is banned. Speculate all you wish, but that might not be a good idea. It is possible that they broke the rules elsewhere on the site in a different way that we do not know about. Or maybe they deleted their account? It's probably not worth gossiping about it.

Since Scratch got 20M dollars from January of this year, and got back the money with some to spare in 2024 that they lost in 2023, means that the essays in your signature aged like milk.

Yeah, I'm really starting to question the Scratch Membership stuff.
My best guess is that ScratchRobinHood broke the rules, by posting these sprites, with the sole intent to, make them available for nonmembers?
