you can duplicate sprites while not being in the editor and not being the owner.
this can mess up games.

That sounds unusual - how are you duplicating the sprites? Are you sure you aren't simply using the “clone” blocks that have been created for this purpose? If you're still able to replicate this bug, do you think you could post a link to the project where this is happening, and how to reproduce the bug? Any other extra information would be very helpful.

no. im right clicking the objects in the projects and clicking duplicate
