Okay, now that that's done (I never know how to word that, sobs), welcome, Surf! I'm super excited to lead with you!

I just had this random idea that we should also do like some bonding for our team when we've figured out who the last person will be. Maybe it's just my soccer teammate part talking, but I feel like it would kind of be nice to just do some silly and fun stuff together, especially because I'm thinking the storyline probably won't be too intense for Real-Fi.

I'll probably add more to all of this later, but I'm heading to school soon and just want to get this out before <3

Obviously this is all stuff that we’ll be doing over the course of the entire planning period, but I figured I’d just put everything I could remember down so it can be floating around somewhere in here before it’s all due. If I’m not wrong, we need the cabin blurb, symbol, and colors first, so those will be our first priority! I think that while we’re waiting for a second co, we should probably work out the general stuff, and then when we get to the final team, then we can do all the final stuff, but we can ideate for now! I’ll collect the atmospheres we’ve (side note but this somehow corrected to “Rembrandt”) all written in our apps soon

Oh, and also, I’ve never led an SWC cabin before, so I’m kind of still figuring things out, ahaha <3

Storyline
Alright, so I figure I’ll just put a couple of bullet points/ideas here for the things I was thinking of for our cabin, which you should feel free to add on to in any way, as I’m just brainstorming

• Starting activity is pitching tents together by completing a certain task (e.g. write 5k as a WCG or something?)
• Fairy lights!! I went glamping over the summer, and they had such pretty fairy lights, so maybe on the thumbnail or whatever?
• Some bonding activities at the start?
• Scavenger hunt!!
• Bonfire/s’mores night to close everyone off—don’t know how we’d do this, haha, but toasting marshmallows is one of the best parts of camping, in my opinion

If I’m remembering correctly, you’re in EST, right? I’m in SGT, which is 12 hours ahead of EST and eight hours ahead of UTC

I’ve also done some schedules and such in the past with the others on my team on a weekly basis, just so we know when each other is roughly free, so here’s mine for this week! After this, I’ll update on Sundays

Wednesday (today): Soccer game
Thursday: Robotics and soccer practice
Friday: Doctor’s appointment
Saturday: Soccer tournament, maybe a Girl Scouts thing in the evening

Plus also homework, school, and piano whenever I can!

Yep, that's great! So we get evenings and mornings in both of our time zones for the overlap, I think.

Hmm maybe people could design their own bracelets physically but there could also be milestones that campers could earn for their (digital?) bracelets (ex. reach your word goal, participate in cabin wars) though I think it would probably work better as part of pfps
Some other fun camping things I thought of today:
- canoeing/kayaking—maybe this could be a teamwork race?
- navigation with a compass (the scavenger hunt could have a map?)

Navigation is an awesome idea! I think it’d fit really well into the scavenger hunt thing, and the map to help direct people would be awesome, sldjgdkfj

In my mind, I’m kind of basing the campgrounds on a combination of two places I’ve been camping at before, so maybe something like camping next to the river (kayaking could happen here) with really big tents and fairy lights (I’m obsessed with this idea, sorry—), some other fun activities around the campsite. At one of them, we had stuff like gold panning and whatever, and I remember we did geocaching at a school camping trip elsewhere as well, which was so fun!

I’m probably going off at a bit of a tangent, but what do you think? Any different ideas?

Timezone-wise, SGT and IST are roughly two-ish hours apart. EST is further off, but there's a very specific late-evening hour (don't ask which hour, I determine this by vibes alone) when I manage to catch a few of my EST friends so yeah! Just enough overlap all around :D

Okay, quick time zone conversions (this is off the top of my head, so I may be wrong):

At midnight UTC…
SGT: 8 a.m.
IST: 5:30 a.m.
EST: 8 p.m. (until daylight savings)

Basically, SGT is 2.5 hours ahead of India and 12 hours ahead of EST, and EST is 9.5 hours behind IST
Until daylight savings because that makes this go a bit wonkier and then EST is an hour extra behind everything. I think.

So for the color palette, I think a couple of greens and definitely a blue would be nice? Because nature and lake. But other than that, not really sure! Do you all have any thoughts?

As for fonts, I think we'll definitely want something kind of casual, so maybe something simple and handwritten? And then we could pair it with a more serif or professional-looking font

As for designing thumbnails, I can't reliably do shared docs, but if you both want to have one that I may pop in on from time to time, you're welcome to! Otherwise, we could just keep them separate.
