SMALL ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm a partially sleep-deprived artist, writer, and roleplayer in my little corner of the internet, lol. I play tennis, do various forms of dance, play video games, and of course sell my soul to homework IRL lol. Been on Scratch for roughly 2 years at this point of time and enjoy it on here! Interests include Dandy's World, CRK, and Forsaken haha. I have a pet bird, and do orchestra IRL. Also starting to be a theatre enthusiast lol!
WHY DO I WANT TO BE A MODERATOR?
Well, first, though I admittedly haven't been the most active person in TFC, I find it a neat little WCRP and would like to contribute to the community in a way. I feel like this is a good contribution to the RP, helping to moderate it so that it can continue to run for more years. Second, the experience. I haven't exactly moderated a bigger RP such as TFC before, and I think the experience of doing so can contribute to my life in general, giving myself something I haven't done before, plus I can probably learn more about moderation work. I'd be able to work in a team too, which I honestly like. Getting to know the people on the team would be neat as well.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU LOOK AT PROJECTS AND READ THE ROLEPLAY CHAINS OF OTHERS?
As for roleplay threads, pretty frequently! I like to check the camp studios and read threads that have popped up recently, a lot of them are super interesting in terms of both the writing and the dynamics between characters. ngl reading threads has been a hobby of mine from before I joined TFC hah, it's like reading a book sometimes. Whenever I stumble across a link to a thread, even an old one, I tend to read it too.
As for projects, it depends on what types of projects. I do look at character bios + references, roleplay projects, litters, TFC news, SRPs, etc, whenever they show up. I don't really look too much at other project types in the TFC community other than those few, haha :'D
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN TFCRP?
9 months, as I joined in December of last year
HAVE I HAD ANY PAST EXPERIENCES THAT MAY AFFECT YOUR DECISIONS TO CHOOSE ME
I have been banned from Roblox once for being admittedly a little toxic to someone, though that was when I was 8, lol. Recently, I have tried my best not to get into conflicts online, so there are none besides that.
WHY I WOULD BE A GOOD PICK
First, minor experience. I have been an admin in a roleplay called Trust Issues (which is now dead), and attempted to host my own roleplay once called Written in Blood (which is also dead :'D). I have leadership experience IRL, as I was first chair in orchestra a couple of years back, helped in a preschool a few times, etc.
I also am pretty hardworking, I'd say. At times I might slack a bit when it comes to moderating due to being overwhelmed, but typically I try my best to do quality work when I dedicate my time to something I do for fun. I may not do the best job, but I do assure you, I can complete what I have to do as a moderator in a timely manner, and do it the best I can most of the time.
I feel like I am a pretty kind person too. Sometimes I may come across as rude in certain situations or when I'm just generally in a bad mood, but typically I try to keep an enthusiastic, supportive tone in my comments online. I can bring things straight to the point too, and am fairly adaptable, being able to handle different scenarios.
Lastly, I work well in a team. The moderation team is, well, a team, and I do know how to work well with peers. I try my best to listen to others' ideas and thoughts on what to do, and respectfully comment my own thoughts afterward. I can do my fair share of things for the group, I always dislike when in groups one person does all the work, lol. I have a lot of experience in working with a group (thanks school), so this shouldn't be a huge problem for me.
I believe if I do get the position, I can do better on some of these too :')
ACTIVITY ON A SCALE FROM 1-10
I'd give myself a 7/10. This is because alongside school, I do have afterschool commitments, and therefore aren't free every second of the day. Additionally, I sometimes suffer from lack of motivation to be online, leading to me sometimes forgetting to answer comments to me, etc. Though, I typically can find time in my day to log onto Scratch, check my inbox, and reply to things.
OTHER
my chaos is @.falloftheflames in case I need to be contacted there fyi
thank you for considering my application, and good luck to all the other applicants out there!
