Sl I was thinking, how about a block that allows a sprite to be resized freely? For example. (apologies, I'm on a phone so now scratch blocks)

You have a 100X100 sprite

You can resize I to 100X50, and so the sprite, will be squashed to half the height.

I think this can be great, not only will it introduce uncountable amounts of creativity, it will also allow for a basic 3D, (Maybe wolfenstein! :p)

Just a quick thought.

I support the “stretch” block, but the “resize” block actually already appears in Scratch as this:

set size to () %

It's located in the “Looks” section.

Stretch used to be in scratch, but it became obsolete for some reason.

Stretch blocks…YES!!! This is the one thing that will make my Scratch life complete. You wouldn't have to constantly make stretches through costumes. It's simple enough for beginners, yet could help with basic 3D projects. Absolute support, no doubt about it.

and the optional removal of the size block.

Support horizontal stretch only and no removal of the size block. This would add all possible stretching functionality in a minimal way, letting people use it without introducing too many new blocks. After all, there are tons of looks blocks already!
