Dark mode please?
Dark mode would help with sleep, and also battery life.

Dark mode please?
Wrong forum + people have been asking for a dark theme for a decade and they have never even made the slightest inclination they're going to do one. Just use a browser extension.

Not on anything with an LCD screen (in which it would actually take even more power than light mode due to how it works). and also battery life.

Dark mode please?
Problem is there are people who don't have access to browser extensions Wrong forum + people have been asking for a dark theme for a decade and they have never even made the slightest inclination they're going to do one. Just use a browser extension.
Anyway, there actually was a dark mode option in development when they were adding the high contrast mode. Unfortunately, this wasn't added as an option.

i know you're not mentioning any names, but you can't actually promote extensions on scratch, sorry. it's something the ST is very strict about. Wrong forum + people have been asking for a dark theme for a decade and they have never even made the slightest inclination they're going to do one. Just use a browser extension.

It seems like the ST is at least considering adding a dark mode. As medians mentioned, the editor actually has an unfinished dark theme – they started working on it together with the high contrast changes in 2023. More recently, the dark mode was mentioned as a potential accessibility improvement in this talk (timestamp: 10:21).

this better be implemented one day. i'm stuck without (THOSE browsing extensions) because chrome outright refuses to run them and i don't want to migrate to another browser due to personal reasons, and i'm getting sick of having to either use turbowarp or burn my eyes every time i check the homepage or my projects on scratch.

Good point. Still, there are a lot of LCDs that don't have those due to either age or price.unless it has localized backlight dimming zonesNot on anything with an LCD screen (in which it would actually take even more power than light mode due to how it works). and also battery life.
They weren't, though. They were just saying that it's possible with a browser extension and that it's probably the easiest way to do it.i know you're not mentioning any names, but you can't actually promote extensions on scratch, sorry. it's something the ST is very strict about. There's even browser extensions that were made specifically to inject CSS (website styling) into webpages.
It's kind of sad that I'm one of seemingly only a few people who is actually fine with Scratch on light mode

They’re already considering this, I believe. It’s unnecessary to make a topic about dark mode again and in another forum category.
