how do you become a member of the scratch team

Joining the Scratch Team is a real, paying job and you have to be 18+ years old and have the legal right to work in your country to apply. You can find the list of open roles over here and more information here.

If you don’t meet the criteria yet, there's still lots of ways to help out on Scratch, such as silently reporting any content that breaks the Community Guidelines, helping out in studios and creating projects.

Alternatively, if you aren't old enough yet to become a member of the Scratch Team, you can always look out for opportunities to help out as a normal Scratcher. Whether that's Scratch events, SDS, SWC, or the mentorship programs (which are closed right now, but could open later)

the other two responses pretty much say everything, but i’ll just add that i was asking the same sort of question a decade ago, and now i’m an intern on the scratch team
