scratch is currently in 3.29.1 when this was released. 4.0 might come in mid 2026 or 2027. If you do want to test scratch 4.0 things that scratch might add go to here: lab.scratch.mit.edu

We don't know exactly when, but it's been in development. We know that there will be AI features added, including an AI assistant and the face-sensing blocks (which will be added this fall).
