Several costumes in my comic Ashstar's Legacy have recently corrupted and appeared as question marks for all users. This is not the famous project corruption bug, as the corruptions in this case happened without me having edited the project in months. Notably, all costumes that corrupted were in vector and featured a combination of bitmap images and vector shapes.

I was able to upload an archived sb3 file of the project to replace it, but upon uploading it to the scratch editor on the web the same costumes corrupted. However, when I view the same project file in the offline Scratch 3 application, the costumes appear fine. After converting the costumes to bitmap offline, they proceed to appear completely fine in the online version of Scratch, so this is a bug that only affects vector costumes, and only happens in the online version of Scratch.

This bug has happened for 3 different users on different devices, both logged in and logged out.

I couldn't upload the costume to Scratch because it corrupts, but here is a link to the svg file.

This is a bug that has been happening for at least 3 days, as evidenced by a comment under a chapter of the comic. (The comic no longer features the corrupted sprites because I needed to fix it so it's readable, but the link I provided to the svg file should show an example of the costumes affected.)

Apologies if this is a bug someone has already reported, but I couldn't find an existing bug report matching this description.

Update: This bug is actively getting worse. Several costumes that were not broken when I posted this have corrupted in the past two days. Everyone should download their projects now to archive them before even more corruption occurs.

I have seen the glitch but I didn’t know what it was!! It affected tales of perfectheart but got better when I reloaded the tab.

It is also not just vector images with bitmap costumes, I noticed that the costumes of my comic The Self-Fulfilled Prophecy are corrupting, including ones that are entirely vector. Also, when I downloaded the chapters and opened them in offline Scratch, the corrupted costumes were completely fine, meaning that the data is still there and can be saved by downloading the project.

That's a different bug, I've experienced it myself and I'm pretty sure it is caused by slow wifi. The difference is that the one that you're describing only affects one user and can be fixed by reloading the project, while the one this forum post is talking about seems to be universal and can't be easily fixed.

Ohhhhhh… it turned everything into question marks!
