Although not an officially recognized holiday in the US, I think Scratch should announce the beginning of Disability Pride Month, which is the month of July (since that's when the ADA, or Americans with Disabilities Act passed in 1990). People with disabilities are the largest minority in the US but still get a lot of disrespect. Just like Black History Month or (Queer) Pride Month, I think acknowledging Disability Pride Month could help Scratchers with disabilities find others and build community, give Scratchers with disabilities a time in the spotlight to make informative posts about their lived experiences, and can help spread awareness and foster compassion towards others.

A lot of the time the Scratch Team doesn't feature a project related to a current event, it's because they can't find/nobody suggests any projects to be featured related to it. If you know of any well-made projects related to disability pride month, please suggest them to be featured.
