PS after typing this I remembered that device has a VPN constantly active on it which was still active during the accounts creation so it is possible that because of the use of a different IP than the standard one on the device the account got flagged due to a different account which got banned by someone using that same IP with a VPN. this is my prediction for what happened

My younger brother wanted to join Scratch, so with the permission of a parent used their email to make an account while I helped him, the username had nothing bad in it or anything but upon opening the account he got a message saying the account was blocked/banned (for the record this was on a separate device than the one I'm using, hope that helps) there was something like

the ban message seems to say that the account was used to evade another block/ban. my account has been the on that device a few times but it usually isn't there and my account is currently up, no other accounts were made with the same email and no other accounts were made on that device/ IP address

how do I fix this, I cant do anything to contact scratch due to the account block, do I just turn off the VPN and then try?

that's strange
cuz usually the false ban is because the vpn switches to a banned ip address
