Recapcha for account making

There has been an increase in spammers and other issues, and I saw people talking about it so I’m suggesting.
If we could make it so someone needs to read a recapcha, or “I’m not a robot”, or “select the squares with traffic lights” task when creating a new account, it could help prevent bots mass creating accounts. I know it’s not full proof but it can help. Please let me know if this has potential. Thank you

In order to create an account that can perform social interactions (post comments, remix projects, etc.), you would need to confirm your email address for their account, so that is one layer of security.

Here's an older suggestion that is suggesting what you mentioned: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/175451/ (it seems like this is the oldest one, but I'm not entirely sure as ocular is down right now).
