Slower and Faster need a bit of a rework?

Changing the speed of a sound makes it low quality, and also, can we make them faster/slower without changing the pitch? And then have like an option to change JUST the pitch as well? And you can still do faster and slower's old functions by stacking the speed AND pitch together.

1. first part of your suggestion is already suggested
2. sometimes people like changing speed of a sound along with pitch
3. the second part of your suggestion, the old functions, fully support.

That's unavoidable unless Scratch does something about the sampling rate. When you speed up a sound, some of the sound's data is lost. Essentially, how it works is that the algorithm collects bits of the sound, skips over the rest, and stitches it together. You can imagine it like resizing an image:

These are duplicates, meaning that they have already been suggested before. You should check out the topics here and here.

it’s nothing bad, it’s just that someone else already though of your idea. you can find duplicates on ocular and on google ([title] site:scratch.mit.edu/discuss)

Thanks for the links! It does look like these are duplicates topics so I'll close them to keep the conversations centralized.

Please use the existing topic in the link above.
