I wanted to create a Scratch wiki account, but it said I had requested $2.

Scratch Wiki accounts aren't paid, so you should be fine.

I'm not certain, but that looks a little like their code for inserting the correct username into the template messed up to me - placeholders in templates very often use dollar signs. I don't think you have to pay; if you click the link you should be fine.

Try requesting an account on the English server, might be a bug with German server (replace the “de” before .scratch-wiki with en). Other than that I'm not too sure.

This actually seems like the most likely thing to me, rather than them requesting $2.00 from you to make an account.

Yeah, I agree- it's more likely that someone simply broke a placeholder, probably for the Scratch account that it was requested for.

It also seems strange that the German wiki would be selling things for United States Dollars.

This turned out to just be a translation error, and has now been fixed.
