I've seen people have their usernames changes (i.e. @KaylaTheSOSCER) and I want to change mine. Where can I change it and how does it work?

You can't change your username directly - you have to request it yourself or create a new account.

They will only change your username if:

1. It's inappropriate
2. Causes gender dysphoria
3. Contains personal information
maybe some other things i can't remember

If you want to change your username and it fits in one of these, please use Contact Us to request a username change.

Please note - if you get your username changed - you most likely won't be able to change it again. It is likely that the Scratch Team will not favor a second username change.

You can't change your username by yourself. The Scratch Team can change it if you request through Contact Us.

However, they only do so under very rare circumstances: if your username violates the ToS, Community Guidelines, or is inappropriate in some way; causes gender dysphoria (e.g. if your username is Gamer_Boy but you identify as a girl); or contains personal information (such as your home address, date of birth, etc.), it might be changed. Reasons such as “I don't like my current username” are not accepted.

You can also create a new account and pick a new username.
