• 2: To speed up processing, followers in the followers menu were flipped.
  
• 6 — “Sprite Deletion Update” (Bugs)
  • New accounts that have a birth date under 16 years old must use a parent's email.
  • After creating a new account, an overview of the Community Guidelines will appear before the front page appears.
  • Scratchblocks on the forums were updated to 3.0:

  • Tutorials in the Tutorials section of the editor are now categorized by headings when filtered with “All”.
  • A confirmation now appears when deleting a sprite.
  
• Unknown Date: Classes can no longer be reported, most likely due to rumours about an attack caused by student accounts.
  
• 26: The donate banner at the top of the front page for logged-out users has been temporarily changed for an end-of-year campaign.
  
  

• 16 — “Debug Update” (Bugs)
  • Debugging Help was added to the editor. It shows tips on debugging scripts.
  
  • The Community Guidelines and Ideas pages were updated with a new look. The Ideas page now features an idea generator and videos from the Scratch Team's YouTube channel (image), while the Community Guidelines page was updated to unify with the 3.0 design used on other pages (image).
  • The “Welcome to Scratch” window that appears on new accounts has been updated.
  
  
• 25: The indexer seems to have started indexing project IDs over 970m.

Please note that I did not write these, they are sourced from an offsite community of Scratchers who report all updates made to Scratch. Most of these were found via intense github digging.

This is a coincidence, all we know is that they have or will start development of scratch 4 this year, and they may change their mind or make it a minor update like scratch 3.1.
