is it a long sound? cuz scratch CANNOT handle long audios so I think you might have to split it into pieces

yes is a long sound

You have to select a range to cut first (so that Scratch knows what you want to cut). Just click somewhere on the sound and drag in either direction.

If you're just trying to delete the sound, click the trash can icon next to the sound in the sound selection sidebar.
