I've been using animated pfps for a lot of my Scratch career, whether it's actually animated, or just the clearer pfp loophole. Though, I tried and it failed, saying the image was corrupted or something, despite me using the same site (ezgif) the same way (I think) I've always done it, and I've even tried multiple times. Do animated pfps just not work anymore, or am I just not doing it right?

Editing for clarity:
I know that the file is not too big. The pfp is only 452x452 pixels (I even tried a 200x200 pixel pfp and it still didn't work), and the file is only 81.44kb when on the larger size. It is just two alternating images.
When I try to make it my pfp, I get this error:
I used ezgif's webp maker, which has worked in the past.

Make sure the file size is smaller than 500 MB.

500 MB?!
I think you mean 512 KB, as well as 500x500 in resolution.

It's much smaller than 500mb, it's only 44kb and 200x200.

Edit: Besides, when I tried making it my pfp, Scratch wasn't complaining that it was too big, it was saying the file was corrupted.

it does! a bit
you just have to upload the animated webp a few times until scratch accepts it. that's what i did and it worked
or you can go an extra step by using an image unblurrer to unblur the image before trying the animated webp method

Yes it does. My profile picure is a (heavily compressed ) gif.
Make sure the image is:

• Less than 512kb
  
• 500x500 px or smaller.
  

I suggest using https://ezgif.com/optimize to compress a GIF or other image.

I already made sure it's under 500x500 px and 512kb, as it's literally only two small images, alternating every 1.5 seconds or so. And the gif optimizer just seems to make the first image go too fast…

Odd… I mean, I know animated pfps still work, as I know a few people myself with animated/clear pfps, but I'm curious if you just can't change your pfp into one anymore or if I'm doing something wrong because I keep getting an error every time I try to make it animated.
