The Scratch Meow Cup Tournament will be an annual Scratch tournament hosted by me, The-Outfit7-Limited, where Scratchers around the world at all ages compete to create the best projects possible, for a chance to win the virtual Scratch Cat Trophy. 2025 will be its inaugural tournament. To become a participant or an official, please register on the Tournament 101 page and remix the project. Thank you.

Scratch Meow Cup Tournament 2025 FAQ:
Find all the answers to the questions you may have asked about the inaugural Scratch Meow Cup Tournament 2025.

Question: How do I register to become a Tournament Participant or a Tournament Official?

Answer: In order to have a chance to participate in the Scratch Meow Cup Tournament 2025, you need to register on the Tournament 101 by remixing the project, filling out the form, and share it by December 22, 2024 (If you want to officiate the tournament) or December 23, 2024 (If you want to become a participant). Keep in mind that your Scratch account must have a "Scratcher" status in order to participate or officiate.

Question: When does the Scratch Meow Cup Tournament 2025 begin?

Answer: The tournament will open in a round-robin style "Group Qualifiers" starting January 8, 2025 with all 4 Groups participating 3 hours apart. See the schedule to see when your group plays. The tournament will move on to the single-elimination "Knockouts" with the Top-8 participants (4 Group Winners and 4 Group 2nd Place Runner-Ups) on the bracket for the Quarterfinal.

Question: How are participants assigned into "groups" for the first stage?

Answer: All participants will be assigned into one of 4 groups (Group A, B, C, & D) with 4 participants in each group for a total of 16 participants. All participants will be randomly assigned to a group on January 1, 2024 at 4PM ET. If you make it onto the tournament as a participant or a official, you'll receive a studio invite to the Tournament Scratch Studios. Tournament Participants will be Curators and Tournament Officials will be promoted to Managers. You must accept the invite within 24 hours, or else the invite will be transferred to the next person on the waitlist.

Question: Is the 2025 tournament hosted by the Scratch Team?

Answer: No, but I hope the Scratch Team sees this and maybe consider hosting future tournaments if this tournament goes so well.

Question: How do I participate for a chance to win the virtual Scratch Meow Cup trophy?

Answer: Participants will create and submit projects of any category (Animations, Games, Music, etc) as long as it is appropriate for all ages and that it follow Scratch's Community Guidelines. It can be a remix or a new/original project. Show your creativity. If you're disqualified or eliminated, you cannot participate further into the 2025 tournament.
