scratch has a new icon on the google chrome tab why though

The issue seems to be fixed now. To get back the regular tab icon, go to https://scratch.mit.edu/favicon.ico and hard-refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R).

From what I can tell, the issue is not fixed. Give the ST some time, or maybe just get used to the new icon

According to @cheddargirl on the many other topics about this, it was an update that went wonky and for some reason started showing the 1.x favicon instead of the 3.0 favicon.

It does seem to be fixed now, you may need to clear your browser cache for your browser to realize there is a new version of the favicon to download (browsers save copies of images and files to help pages load faster, a practice called caching).
