add the option to turn blocks 3d and have them move along the z axis in the editor.
please note I am not talking about moving sprites along the z axis.this would be useful if you have a big project with loads of code. because 3d code means all the code does not sprawl across a huge area of the code area and instead bunches up on all 3 planes meaning it is more accessible. Along with this scripts can be cleaned up in a line of 3d that looks like all the scripts layered up on top of each other when viewing from 2d.
edit: it has to also have a thing to rotate and move through 3d area

Don't support, I don't see any very important use for that

This sounds even more confusing, not to mention laggy. I feel like tabs would work better (multiple code areas you can switch between).

Other than being extremely and amazingly fun and cool, it would also be very unnecessary and just a gimmick. Plus, I assume it would take a lot more resources. Just imagine your 3d blockspace on my projects with 1000+ (very common for me to do that lol) my computer already runs slow on my game with 6000 blocks just imagine how slow it would be with 3d.

I could really only see this being useful in order to see scripts which are stacked on top of each other.

I think a layer system like in painting software would be better than true 3d, because less lag and easier to use.
The tabs idea from blubby4 would also probably be just as good or maybe less laggy.

This would only really serve to lag computers and make it harder to edit (and see) code.
No thank you, I would like to be able to keep using Scratch's editor on my Chromebook at a steady, fairly high, framerate rather than something like 2FPS.

It's like a 2D being traveling between all the 2D worlds that move along the third dimension. If you don't understand, I found an example of that situation happening in I feel like tabs would work better (multiple code areas you can switch between)this yt video
Anyways, you have a creative idea

it would look cool, like placing blocks in 3d space would be so satisfying, but it wouldn't fit in with the other parts of the editor
although it's a option
and you can't rotate using arrow keys or mouse, so how would we rotate?!?!? hmm…

This would be
- Hard to control (especially with a trackpad)
- Very laggy (especially for Chromebooks)
- No real benefit
- Hard to manage code
- Impractical to implement
I have never seen a 3D code editor before, except for Rec Room. I have never had a problem with code being too big to manage. But even if it is, making the code editor 3D does NOT solve this issue. If anything, it makes it slower and that's about it. Furthermore, this would make it more difficult for people to learn code due to the complexity. No support.

There are ways of moving through 3D space using nothing more than the location of the mouse-pointer (or your finger). it would look cool, like placing blocks in 3d space would be so satisfying, but it wouldn't fit in with the other parts of the editor

Otherwise many, many applications would not exist.
