A Lost Soul - Remastered - Homepage/Update page
This forum will document the development of a new game I'm working on. aLS Remastered is going to be a better version of my first big game “A Lost Soul” and it will basically be the same game, but way less buggy and the art will be much better and clean.

aLSR has almost nothing currently, so it might take a bit for me to start making consistent posts about updates.

Update post v2:
1. I switched the platforming engine from one made from scratch to the one used for the alpha version of the unreleased “aLS: A Soft Lullaby”
2. I figured out a cool new way to make hitboxes work better. You use two broadcasts in one frame that split everything in two so that you can do all of the physics first, and then get the actual costumes being displayed, the broadcasts are: “PHYSICS SUBFRAME” and “DISPLAY SUBFRAME”.
Also, I made an aLSR Dev Stats project that is similar to the one for Monarch, check it out on my account!

Update post v4:
I'm done with the base text engine for the game.
I'm also done with all of the functional Gems in the game.
I'm also done with the checkpoint system.
I'm also done with the base physics.
I'm done with the popups.
I'm not done with zones 1-end
I'm not done with almost any of the art.
I'm not done with any gameplay.
I'm not done with fixing the story/dialogue to be better.

My fault for not posting here much recently, I'm posting now though to tell you that a 4th update project for ALSR is on the way, I'm making pretty good progress on the game, so expect a big update prject full to new things.
