Security on Accounts- Requesting 2FA- Making our accounts safe and secure

I don’t know if this has been requested but could 2FA be an active security option for accounts? There is a current hacking situation where users are losing their account and I was thinking maybe 2FA option could be used to prevent this. If this is a new idea please take this into consideration!
-Sincerely, Kira

You should send this to the suggestions page! The request page usually gets mixed up with it.

Reported to be in suggestions. Other than that, I support this.

What is 2FA? 2 Step Verification?

If so, I have to say there is literally no issue with this as long as it remains optional. Maybe you could also be able to change when you have to do it: every 3 log-ins, every time you log on a new device you've never used Scratch on before, every time, etc.

If you are able to choose when 2 Step Verification is on, I will say that this is a useful thing for Scratch. And I think this shouldn't be on by default, because if it is, children who do not have their own emails (a lot of people on Scratch, alas) won't be able to log into their accounts without going to a parents' phone.
