rename Scratch to scoober!

Look, it's obvious that Scratch is too controversial of a name. This is why people up and down the country our outraged of the name. Whilst yes, Scratch is called that due to DJs scratching records, it also has another definition where you can seriously hurt someone with by Scratching. my 94 year old grandma will die next year as she was scratched by a cat who had rabies in Turkey.

Scratch shouldn't encourage scratching, which is why it should be renamed to SCOOBER

Scoober is an item you can throw about and do many stuff with - like you can throw around projects in different genres. You can also throw scoobers in a big room, like a room with a low floor, wide walls, high ceiling.

Look, I know some topics like this seem like jokes. “Rub” after all was a laughable name. But Scoober rolls of the tongue well and creates joy when you say it.

My mascot idea is also better than “rub cat”, come on, I'm more imaginative than that! My idea for the new mascot is SCOOBER THE GOOBER!

Scratch is a childs website full of goofy goobers, so this family friendly website is great for a mascot called scoober the goober. It's a lot better than the rabies-infested Scratch Cat for sure!

I hope you consider my suggestion and I will be debunking all criticisms.

That quote was from a while back and doesn't reflect the changing times. As seen on the forums in the last week, people are coming to realise that Scratch is an aggressive and bad name.

And even if it wasn't criticised you may aswell improve the Scratch name - Scoober is clear.

what hecking meaning does “scoober” have behind it? it doesn't appear you're listening when i say that scratch is called scratch because of DJs record scratching to create new music, aka remixing

Scoober is a sports equipment for frisbee! A frisbee can go anywhere! A scratch project can go everywhere - in it's theme, in it's difficulty, in being in Scratch places like studios a explore page, and a Scoober can be flung about anywhere in a room that has “low floor wide walls high ceiling”

this is such a good name and people don't get it! I'm tearing my hair out and getting angry. Perhaps

jUst because it is used in the appropriate connotation, the fact that it has a negative definition means that Scratch is not an appropriate name! If a racist slur had a word for coding and had a word for the slur, is the coding name appropriate to use still? NO!
