Bring back Microworlds (READ OP BEFORE REPLYING)
Please don't reply with “What even is a microworld?”
Most people don't know about microworlds, that I never even heard of them until I saw a project by breakfast_for_dinner mentioning microworlds. So here's a quote from the Scratch Wiki about them:
Most people don't know about microworlds, that I never even heard of them until I saw a project by breakfast_for_dinner mentioning microworlds. So here's a quote from the Scratch Wiki about them:
[1] It has a limited palette of blocks, to reduce the number of blocks a Scratcher has to dig through.IMHO this sounds like a good idea for Scratch, especially for New Scratchers so they can get introduced to the different types of blocks, and I don't get why it was scrapped. A Scratch microworld was a version of the Scratch editor that contained a small set of blocks for making projects based on a theme.
The name “microworld” came from combining “micro” and “world”, which symbolized a world that teaches powerful ideas, yet having a limited scope. Interest-based microworlds were microworlds aimed at a specific interest or goal, like animation.

Please don't reply with “What even is a microworld?”Maybe not as an editor feature, but a challenge similar to the SDS but you have to use a special, limited editor to stick with the theme.

Microworlds was active from September 2015 to May 2021by the looks of it microworlds were removed pretty far after they were released on the site, so there was definitely some reason for its removal. i never even knew these existed until now!
but the idea is interesting. i bet this could be used in the built-in scratch tutorials in some way. maybe users could create their own microworlds for others to use and challenge their coding skills.

A contest is not the best idea and may not fit the design goals of Scratch, as it’s not meant to be competitive. People might get sad if they lose. They could do micro world monthly! Where they do a monthly micro world contest
