Project Trailer Ads

Yes, project ads on Scratch are rejected, but this is not.
Upload a file and turn it into a trailer ad. This supports:

HTML, MP4 (mobile game ad)
MP4 (video ad)
MP3, MP2, MP1 (audio ad)
PNG, JPG, GIF (banner ad)

Ads will have a 50% transparent watermark saying “Game is a Scratch Project” to let others know that the game is a scratch project.

New Community Guideline:

Workaorund:

Release a project that is a trailer/teaser of your game. You can upload videos to the Scratch editor, but you have to turn it into a gif first. You can also record the stage, and make a YouTube video and turn it into a discuss YouTube linking put it on the description.

You want advertisements on other websites for a scratch game?

I feel like this might draw negative attention to scratch.

since scratch is a free, non-profit service, and scratch projects don't cost money to play, they wouldn't make any money off of ads. they would just pay for them but they'll never get any money from it

And with the huge amount of users, ads would completely drain their money and scratch would have to close.

Ads aren't free anywhere. If they were, ads wouldn't exist, as the purpose of ads is to fund something by allowing people to advertise on a website
