1. The company who moderates the site OWNS the 13+ site server.

2. They are considering making the forums themselves 13+.

First off, before you ask what it is, Paddle2See created this topic which links to it (at the time of writing)

The suggestion is to moderate (or disallow mentioning) the Text Based Games forums. The reason is because a very active user on it links to their server on a certain 13+ unmoderated chat site (yes, THAT one) in their signature, which would definitely not be allowed on Scratch.

Then just report that user?

And who cares cubeupload has a tiny small chat app link at the bottom yet its still allowed

Then scratch should just stop recommending users to visit the site.

The top of the site also has a link to that chat platform. Yikes!

That paddle post was from 2013. It should be updated to remove the TBG considering its not even really apart of the Scratch website anymore.

Just report any inappropriate links - no need to outright ban it. There's nothing worse about the TBGs than Cubeupload.

I know, but that was when there was Scratch Team moderating it. Nowadays it's an almost completely unrelated site which has a completely different moderation team.

Partial support. If links to other websites were banned due to links to unmoderated chat in them, then Cubeupload would've been banned by now. (there's a link to the same unmoderated chat site as TBGs). However,

Just because another loosely moderated site is linked doesn’t mean the other also shouldn’t be removed. Maybe both should.
