how is Griffpatch Academy allowed to be mentioned?
griffpatch.academy is a site made by @griffpatch that allows people to pay exhorbitant prices (really, £14.50/month????) for scratch tutorials. to get the amazing privelege of being able to watch these tutorials, you must go through this page:
now, i'm just wondering how this doesnt entirely violate ToU 3.1.6 (“You may not use the Scratch service in any way, that: … Except in connection with organizing Scratch day events, asks any other user for personally identifying information, contact information, or passwords.”) and the common sense of any mod team on a children's site (considering that i'm sure many kids will use their parents details to sign up). if this is allowed, then am i allowed to create a patreon and start selling my products on scratch?

ToU 3.1.6 only applies to the Scratch website, and Griffpatch Academy isn't on the Scratch website.removed - see below
also, if the email in the image is you own email, then it's best not to include it in the image

sharing a link on scratch to a service that takes personal info = using scratch to take personal info ToU 3.1.6 only applies to the Scratch website, and Griffpatch Academy isn't on the Scratch website.

I think that's a scam website. Where did @griffpatch mention it?

When griffpatch tried to advertise his website on the Scratch website via the Griffpatch-Academy account, we shut down that advertisement account, and then only reinstated it when it was agreed upon that it should not be used for advertising the paid academy service.
So, no, you're not allowed to create a Patreon and start selling products, either.

fair enough, but as a follow-up question, would i be allowed to link a yt channel that links to a patreon (since griffpatch links to his channel which links to griffpatch academy)?now, i'm just wondering how this doesnt entirely violate ToU 3.1.6 (“You may not use the Scratch service in any way, that: … Except in connection with organizing Scratch day events, asks any other user for personally identifying information, contact information, or passwords.”) and the common sense of any mod team on a children's site (considering that i'm sure many kids will use their parents details to sign up). if this is allowed, then am i allowed to create a patreon and start selling my products on scratch?
