Add different circles on the message icon instead of one to show different categories
Green could be studio stuff..
Red could be comments on projects and forum posts.
Yellow could be likes and faves.
Blue could be follows.
And orange for scratch team messages.

What if there are multiple messages with different categories, also which message color would scratch team messages be?

They all would show up at different corners of the icon. Red could be at the top left corner and green at the top right one.
When all 5 are there at once, one will be on the middle of a long side.

The circles would be smaller and the icon bigger.

Maybe they would not be on the box but near it. (spaced distantly but not too far)
