Would this be legal?
Is it legal to use royalty-free images just from image searches (without buying them) in Scratch projects? I've never used them in Scratch projects, because I thought it was illegal. But is it really? I've always wanted to know.
For those of you who don't know what a royalty-free image is, it's basically an image from a website where you create an account, buy the images you want, and then you can use them according to their terms for a limited amount of time. Some examples of royaly-free websites are 123rf, dreamstime, istockphoto, colorbox, depositphotos, shutterstock, layoutsparks, GraphicLeftovers, and MasterFile. You can easily spot which images are royaly-free because they always have the site's name and logo somewhere in the image.

You can use any (appropriate) media files in your scratch project, images, sounds, music, frames of movies, etc. even if it is copyrighted.
Scratch's license (I think it's fair use and Creative Commons) allows any media file to be used in projects on this website as it is for educational purposes.
If you want to share it elsewhere/compile into an executable, I'm not sure.

Correction: Under the Fair Use clause, only. You can use any (appropriate) media files in your scratch project, images, sounds, music, frames of movies, etc. even if it is copyrighted.

Creative Commons is the license that allows for remixing and sharing.
