Answering this question and being BRUTALLY HONEST
Use Java

Bedrock isn’t good for making mods (less freedom)(mods are only RPs and BPs)
Even though you can use your own skin for free
other customation items you need to pay (atleast you can play it anywhere)

Education Edition is straight up garbage
its just Bedrock with new blocks, UI changes, and different account system
(atleast is free)

1. You can mod on Java edition, which is much better than add-ons on bedrock
2. You can play whatever version you want
3. You can also play snapshots
4. better servers, such as Hypixel
5. You don't have to pay, Bedrock is kinda like roblox in the way that you have to pay for things such as exclusive items and sometimes overpowered stuff.

well at least you can get bedrock for christmas on switch and, you can still play hiypixil. the potato addon makes minecarts faster
