Hello! I am new to Scratch and have been coding for about 6 months. I am having a hard time with this game, because some backdrops are just skipped completely. I have tried to look up the answers but still can't figure it out. Thank you for your help!

You're not really controlling the order - at any point in the project if you're touching the colour to switch to backdrop 6 you'll switch to it even if you're currently on backdrop 3, for example. You'd actually be better using a touching sprite option and getting the sprite to appear in the right place for each backdrop with an appropriate costume OR have it ghosted to 99% so you can still detect touching it but can't see it. You can then hide/show/position the sprite to suit each backdrop change.
