∘ hi hi ! my name's trixie or bug and i'm your average mess of a person . i love talking about my interests and will yap to you constantly if you allow me speaking of my interests, i'm a fledging poet, writer, reader, musician, and a lover of cartoons meant for people half my age ( they are very good , trust me ) . my favorite form of poetry is iambic pentameter , and this also ties into my love of Shakespeare. i haven't gotten to most of his plays, but the ones i've read and enjoyed the most are hamlet and a midsummer's nights dream . i also love a lot of book series, such as percy jackson and six of crows ! i'll stop myself now before i spend all my time rambling ( i warned you ! )
activity . 8/10 :
∘ i'd like to say i'm pretty active, and i tend to reply to messages ( when not on break lol ) around the same day they were posted , and i'd give myself a 8/10 !! i'm majorly active on monday-thursday, and my activity does tend to dip to a 6/10 over the weekends, so my replies might be a bit slower and my roleplays a bit shorter. to explain this better, here's a more detailed look at my schedule !!

i have online school from monday to thursday, and i normally reply to roleplays and messages in between these classes, which normally means no more than an hour's delay between message time and response until around 3:45 CST. however, roleplays can take me a bit longer, but i do try to reply as quick as possible. on weekends, i enjoy going outdoors and touching grass ( you never heard it from me … ) however , i am going on a vacation soon , which will last from April 31st to May 7th, which is around a week. However, since I still have school, I will still be able to check messages and be active, though my roleplay responses might be a bit shorter and a bit more delayed.

as already implied, my timezone is CST !!

​​is it worse to be haunted by monsters, or to become the monster yourself? this is the question soliloquykit struggles to answer, for she is nothing but a phantom, a shadow of the cat she used to be. not yet, of course. soliloquykit is like the moon, beautiful but absent, surrounded by shadow that threaten to overtake her. Is it worse to crave love you do not deserve, or deserve love that you do not have? Love is such a fragile thing, too much of it will suffocate you, and still she craves more. Why, you may wonder? Because she feels that it is better to die cradled in love than to live a life in which the hearts you claim are never, ever enough. for all the magic tricks she might do, no sleight of hand can ever steal a heart. or can it?

៸៸ ♥♥ reasons why soliloquykit wants to be a medic
. helping others
at first, it might seem as though soliloquykit isn't a very compassionate cat. if you assumed that, you'd be right. however, soliloquykit hates seeing pain, because its a reminder to her that pain exists, that she feels pain, and that the monster is made out of pain. and for this, she doesn't want anyone else to have to wade through pain, and whatever pain she can spare, she will. being a warrior was never a plan of hers, for three main reasons. the first of this trinity is originality. soliloquykit feels that her set of skills is more suited to something greater that the common warrior. she sees being a warrior as the common path that everyone is funneled down, and she loathes the idea of being one of them. this also has to do with her upbringing in a loner society where everyone had different roles, since living in the twoleg place provided them with no need for food. she sees the system of all cats being warriors as a waste, and thinks that she's destined for something greater. the second reason is her desire for acceptance, specifically from her adopted family. in her new home and environment, no role model of hers is interested or supporting of violence. soliloquykit therefore would naturally prefer to avoid a life of killing both prey and other cats if she could avoid it, since she gains no pleasure of causing harm and would instead prefer to build. Soliloquykit is extremely ambitious and dedicated, and therefore strives to be the best in whatever she chooses. she couldn't stand being an average warrior, and in her moth brown eyes, the warrior's path to greatness is a path covered in bloodshed and violence. and how would she be loved by quailhymn, songbirdkit, balladkit, and night-snakekit then? she knows it would break her to have to choose between her family and greatness, so why not go for a profession in which she can do both? to heal is to help, and empathy is so important to her since that's what's important to her family.
. medicine = magic
as i might have mentioned, soliloquykit is a magician. her core value and connection to this earth is in fact, otherworldly. she belives there to be many kinds of magic, and she loathes the fact that she'd only mastered on - sleight of hand. while soliloquykit is becoming an expert at slipping her cards so quick and fast only the sharpest of eyes can catch them, she still feels as though there's more to learn. and as she turns to the way of the warrior, she sees none. what magic is there in the hunter's crouch, in the way you choose to break the neck of a piteful mouse? in fact, the way of the warrior is to destroy the magic of life, to scar the magic of beauty with ugly claws, to speak harsh words and commit even harsher crimes … soliloquykit is not one to preach peace, but she does not enjoy practicing violence. and so she turns tail and walks into a different den. one of life and wonder. one of magic. for what else is magic in the world of warrior cats but the power of healing? to heal to to not only create the magic of life, but the very herbs are what soliloquykit sees as artifacts to bless the weak with strength, to cure the dying with life.
. meaningful relationships
soliloquykit's greatest fear is not being loved and being forgotten, and she finds the idea of having a warrior mentor a bit scary, since there are so many warriors and the fact that they'll likely have other apprentices and not see her as much as she grows older. with a medic for a mentor, she knows that she and Lingonberryhush will always be close since they're the only two cats of their position and therefore have a closer bond ! my apologies for this being much shorter than most of the other sections, i don't have much more to say!
. always more to learn
in the world of a medic, there is always more you can learn. there is always an illness that you must cure, always a new challenge of the horizon. perchance a warrior provides you battles , but there is only so much you can do with tooth and claw, and only so many you can save. soliloquykit craves that constant challenge, the avalibity to always become better. in the face of challenges, i think it would be interesting for her to try out different herb combinations on patients ( im not saying this would help , rather that it would be a cool plot point as she learns about ethical standards and holds herself up to them ! ) .
៸៸ ♥♥ reasons why soliloquykit would be a good medic
. straightforward
soliloquykit is not the type of person ( or cat ?? ) to beat around the bush. if she has a point to make, she says it quickly and simply, without using any fancy language or hiding behind secrets. secrets, in fact, are to soliloquykit just lies waiting to be discovered - the art of not telling the full truth a lie within itself. how would this apply to being a helpful medic? firstly, it would improve the relationship between Lingonberryhush and herself as she'd be less likely to lie and be honest about what she's struggling with . secondly, she'd find it important to keep her patients in the loop about what's happening with their injuries and body . as someone who has a medical condition being honest and communication with doctors is so, /so/ important to the doctor patient relationship!
. detail oriented
its quite easy to say that soliloquykit has a sharp eye for details. the type of person to see the trees for the forest, she tends to zero in on an ascept of something and not rest until she's memorized every bit of it. she's also capable of memorizing vast amounts of information, but not in the common way . she'd commonly forget certain details ( for example , she could know every single gathering spot for poppy seeds and every use and still forget what they look like ! ) for this reason, soliloquykit would make flashcards . well , not exactly flash cards . already i've stated that soliloquy is something of a wannabe magician, and this comes with making her own deck of cards . one of her favorite hobbies and something she's quite good at , i think it would be cool if she made cards for each of the herbs . on the front face , there would be a rough sketch of the herb and a rough sketch of a location where you could find it , and on the back some drawings of cats suffering from ailments that could be treating with it.
. strong work ethic
soliloquykit has a strong worth ethic. while she might not be the most morally just character, she truly doesnt mind doing the most mudane chores all day, such as sorting herbs. something that i think she would do to help cope with long hours of boring tasks would be to make up “characters” of sorts for each herb based on what she associates with . she also might come up with little rhymes and poems which i think would be super cute <3

she repeats this to herself, chanting it in her mind like an oath. oaths were better than promises, after all. if you broke a promise, you broke someone else's heart. if you broke an oath, your heart was as black as the night sky when the stars did not shine and the moon was hidden behind obsidian clouds. she was as alone as the first star in the sky, here in this unfamiliar land of dreams. for she was quite certain this was a dream. she was home again, back to the first place she'd ever realized held a piece of her heart. but the alleyways were eerily quiet, they should not be this quiet. and then she realized something. everything was frozen in place. a rat was stopped midrun, a brick dangling in mid air. she surely was dreaming, but she couldn't stop walking.

the panic slowly began to set in, creatures of the shadows the only thing that moved. because for the stillness in the city, all the shadows of the once living things seemed to be advancing on her.

she was scared. / it wasn't real. / she was scared. / it wasn't real. /

and then the shadows leapt at her as one and dragged her down and the ground was cracking and she was falling and-

falling.

falling into a nest that wasn't her own. she was in the medicine cat's den, and for the briefest of moments she thought she was awake, she thought she was free. so she arose from her chamber of nightmares and walked forwards. she was back, she was safe. and she opened her mouth to greet the cats, and no sound came out. this was far scarier than the shadows. if she could not speak, how could she be spoken to? without words, how could she be loved? she hurried over to a cat lying in a nest, but their face was stony, pale, lifeless.

as of 4/30/24, soliloquykit has been made a warrior apprentice underneath gooseberrycrown ! since gooseberrycrown and lingonberryhush are siblings , i'd like soliloquykit ( if i won of course ) to have biweekly or triweekly sessions with gooseberrycrown , and i also think it would be really fun to do a group session for the double sibling mentor duo >
